What a unique, retro building! Super cool entryway. Amazing views outside on their patio area, as well as through the ballroom windows. I was here for a business event and had lunch. The salad had exceptionally fresh bibb lettuce, really good. Entree was a panko breaded airline chicken breast, topped with a cream sauce, garnished with capers and shredded Parmesan. The sauce was good, the chicken was better, moist and well seasoned. The breading was crisp and not greasy at all. The plate was drizzled with a pesto sauce. Side items were potatoes au gratin. They were OK. I was trying to decide if they were uniformly mandoline-slices fresh, or if it was a pre-prepared product. The veggie was 3 roasted purple carrots. These were better than the potatoes, wish I'd had more carrots! Then came the rolls/bread. Sister Schubert rolls were one option. The other looked like a cheddar/herb/corn muffin of some kind, but they were actually a signature orange muffin with shredded coconut in it (?) pretty sure. This was NOT good. After googling, evidently this is a special recipe they make. I missed why it's special - it was dry, had a crunchy, bright/artificial orange colored glaze (I thought it was shredded cheddar). Just didn't work for me. Dessert choices were red velvet cake and key lime pie. Both were prepared frozen products, nice quality though, not made in house though. I had the key lime. It was OK. Plate was drizzled with raspberry coulis, which had sort of dried on the plate. The bathrooms were very clean and well stocked.
good place to eat
Super nice place! The vegetarian option at my meetings was super good!
Love The Club
While the club is a beautiful venue, the managerial staff is abusive and unprofessional. Never in my life have I experienced (or could even fathom) a manager of a private club speaking to a woman the way that General Manager Brian Green did. Threats and bullying have no place in such an environment..

A family member has been involved in hosting a major charitable event at The Club in Birmingham—an evening that draws over 600 guests and generates more than $100,000 in revenue for the venue. For years, it’s been a positive partnership. Unfortunately, this year was a complete departure from that standard of excellence.
General Manager Brian Green and Private Events Coordinator Taylor Blackburn displayed behavior that was unprofessional, rude, and downright condescending, even causing a scene in front of guests and vendors. Multiple attendees were stunned to see representatives of a private club behave so disrespectfully toward a charitable organization that brings substantial business and visibility to the property.
The event’s success has always relied on collaboration and mutual respect—two things sorely missing under the current management. Taylor Blackburn, in particular, came across as inexperienced and more concerned with appeasing her superior than serving the client.
It’s deeply disappointing to see a venue of The Club’s reputation allow this kind of conduct to define its leadership. If you’re considering hosting an event here, think twice. There are far better venues in Birmingham that still understand what professionalism looks like.
Interesting place.
Spoke at an event there. Beautiful facility.
Love to overlook Birmingham, AL.

A 1950s Gem with Breathtaking Views and Timeless Charm
I recently attended a special event at The Club, Inc., perched high atop Red Mountain in Birmingham, and the experience was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to another era — the 1950s-style décor gave off a full-on James Bond, Sean Connery-era vibe that added a level of charm and class you just don’t find in modern venues.
What stood out the most were the spectacular panoramic views of the Birmingham skyline. Whether inside near the floor-to-ceiling windows or out on the terrace, the scenery was stunning — especially as the sun set over the city.
The retro aesthetic was perfectly preserved. Everything from the iconic design details to the famous lighted dance floor made it feel like a place frozen in time, in the best possible way. It’s elegant, unique, and full of character.
The venue itself was immaculately maintained — clean, comfortable, and clearly cared for. The staff was outstanding, professional, and attentive, making sure every detail of the event went smoothly.
The Club, Inc. is a perfect blend of nostalgic elegance and modern hospitality. Whether you're attending a wedding, corporate event, or private celebration, this venue offers an atmosphere that’s truly one-of-a-kind. It’s a place where history, style, and Southern charm come together to create something special.
If you're ever in Birmingham, this is a stop worth making — even if just to soak in the views and the vintage ambiance. An unforgettable experience from start to finish.
Delicious!
