Lots of TVs, spacious, accommodating staff and excellent customer service! I was originally going next door to The Battery, but I noticed that there were people seemingly more interested in their menu than sports (I.w. No one had any sports clothing on), so, we looked over and saw a huge tv. We went in there not knowing they weren’t open, yet, and they welcomed us and greeted us with smiles and drinks.

My expresso martini was excellent - it was creamy and flavorful and was made with an in-house made cold-brew. Oh, and the top shelf margarita was delicious - fresh squeeze juices used - he took his time and it was worth it!

I can’t express how friendly one of the owners and the bartender was - it was such a pleasant surprise, since we are from atlanta and know nothing about any of these places. I would highly recommend and will definitely come back before leaving back out of town! He even put our Falcons game on the biggest screen when we walked in with our Falcons drip on.

Oh, and the bacon jam - also made in house. This is a real sports bar that cares about its customers and produces the best it can!

By the way, Brad, the bartender is awesome and “the best and friendliest” in the area.

Last thing… you walk in and they ask you what game you want to watch! Who can beat this level of service? Multiple tv sources to satisfy multiple game interests. The ultimate sports bar! Do t be fooled by its simplicity - this is the spot for sports fans for sure!

I love it and will keep it in mind for my next Birmingham trip!!!

Staff is awesome and I love the vibes, pool tables and Wednesday poker nights.

Vegetarian options: Pretty good selection, especially for a brewpub

Sitting at a bar in Birmingham... ? I promise this is not a TLDR.

I’ve always believed in being a lifelong learner, and yesterday, life reminded me just how powerful that belief can be. Let me share a story that touched my heart and taught me more than I expected.

We’ve all heard the talk—studies and statistics paint a challenging picture of Gen Z in today’s workforce. They say technology blurs the lines between work and life, and communication is often lacking. However, I met someone who shattered that narrative—a young man working behind a bar in Birmingham on Labor Day.

From the moment I sat down, there was something different about him. He greeted us with a warmth and enthusiasm that’s rare, and I could tell this was going to be more than just a routine interaction. When I mentioned how quiet the area was, his response left me speechless.

“We were supposed to be closed today, but I convinced the owner to stay open. I knew we could draw at least a small crowd since everywhere else was closed. I created the specials and posted them online. I mean, I knew I could get a few of my friends would show up.”

And he was right. The bar wasn’t packed, but it was alive—because of him. I was struck by his initiative, his drive, and his belief in his ability to make things happen. I had to know more about this young man.

At just 22, he’s already lived a life full of purpose. Homeschooled, a Stanford grad, and now finishing an internship at a local hospital. When he went off to college, he realized his communication skills needed work due to the environment he grew up in. So, he took on jobs as a server and then a bartender, not just to make ends meet, but to grow, to challenge himself, to be better.

Here are three lessons that struck me deeply:

1. Never judge a book by its cover. This young bartender, 15 years my junior, taught me more in an hour than I’ve learned in some seminars.
2. Communication is everything. It’s a skill we must constantly nurture, especially as leaders. It’s the bridge that connects us, the spark that ignites understanding.
3. Motivation and drive are the keys to success. Paired with a positive attitude, they’re unstoppable forces that can turn dreams into reality.

To the young man behind the bar—cheers to you. You reminded me to look beyond the surface, to stay humble, and to keep learning. Your passion and determination inspired me in ways you’ll never know, and for that, I’m deeply grateful

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was drenched in some bacon jam crap that was 90% salt. 2 burgers for my wife and I that we literally couldn't eat. I'm not a little fella, I'll eat marginal food. I asked if it was a mistake, waitress said no, they don't have "just bacon". Asked if I could get a plain burger instead....yea, if you pay for it again. We left it on the table and went somewhere else. I know the rep here is a meat market. Great beer and mate selection, just crappy food and shitty attitude.

Prices are inconsistent. They don’t honor their own posters and bartender will argue over things they put up in the wall. Dos xx advertised for 3 really charge 5 and Bushwacker at happy hour 5 but they charge 10 at 1530.

I was very surprised to find the food to be so good. Their coleslaw was awesome (seconds worthy), and the pulled pork BBQ was quite good. The staff was very friendly. Glad we had the opportunity to eat here!!
