If you want to go to a NOLA themed shotgun bar thats classy but still punk rock then this is the spot. All in all a super rad no judgement melting pot with crazy fast service.

Fantastic bar. The staff is incredible and they really do their best to stay on top of everyone. They have all manner of fun events. They also stuck up for the other patrons and excercised their right to refuse service to some jackhole who kept shouting and hassling everyone. Very safe and welcoming environment truly.

First time at The Margaret and I was blown away. The vibe is super cool — kind of this purple, New Orleans feel — but what really stood out was Lauren behind the bar. She was so friendly and welcoming, made great drink recommendations, and just made the whole experience better. You can tell she actually enjoys what she’s doing. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I sat at the bar. There was a large spill on the counter which I assumed the bartender would just wipe up before serving me. Instead he put a thin napkin over it and put my drink directly in the goop. Not next to it but directly in the spot. I’m from out of town and even at the divviest of dive bars I’ve never had poor service like that. It was gross and off putting. I had to ask the bartender to clean it up to which he seemed surprised and claimed it was because they were transitioning from a busy night. I get being consumed by a rush but when I came in it was quiet with only a handful of people. It seems like common curtesy to clean up for a new patron. Or at least don’t put my drink directly in someone else mess— yuck. Bummer.
Lauren was amazing! Was very present and made sure me and my friends had a good time on a random Monday!

Came in on Monday night. Bartender never acknowledged me and when I ask if they had a drink menu, she replied yes and proceeded to treat me as if I were not there. Mind you that there are only 6 people inside and one irrdom ordering. Very slow night.

Great bar with a great atmosphere and service. My only complaint is that they allow dogs inside the bar. One of the bartenders wasted water from a dog bowl on my shoes which is highly unsanitary. I'm also allergic which left me sneezing all night. Not trying to be rude but dogs should only be allowed outside of the bar unless it's a service animal. Other then that it was great. Thanks!

The atmosphere is so inviting, it's hard to want to leave! Especially when the staff are so fun and friendly. They're always changing up the menu and offering great drink specials. Easily our favorite bar in bham ♡
