Tucked into Birmingham’s café scene, Red Cat Coffee Shop (also known as The Red Cat Coffeehouse) stands out as a warm, inviting spot that earns its devoted following. The location near Railroad Park delivers a relaxed energy—the kind of place you can pop in early or linger over for an hour.

Upon arrival, you’re greeted by minimalist industrial décor with feline nods in subtle details—nothing kitschy, just character. The seating is comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor spots, so you can choose your ambiance.

Love, love, love this spot. They have great coffee, healthy food selection that taste great, and all the good vibes. Their breakfast burrito is one of my favs. They have limited sugar free options, but they at least have the basics - vanilla, caramel and hazelnut.

Great atmosphere and service. The problem was the price. Avocado toast was delicious but $9.75 for ONE piece of toast is highway robbery. When they set it down I thought they were missing the other half! With tax and tip was $13. You cannot ask people to pay $13 for one piece of toast. Smoothies were delicious and priced about same an other places. I’ll go back for drinks only.

I always beg for extra ice in a latte and the barista I had here today made me the perfect latte by that standard. My perfect espresso to milk ratio coming from another barista ❤️ espresso and flavors here are always delicious as well and that was certainly true today!

The food was flavorful I had ordered chicken panini sandwich which was fresh and served hot and a side of seasonal salad with everything garden fresh and crisp nothing stale and the smoothie was delicious and cold to beat the heat
All in all good food experience and the place is neat and spacious and parking is easy will be going again

The have a nice selection of flavors for specialty coffees. The bakery items are good! The breakfast food, however, is overpriced.

I truly love this coffee house but I feel like every time I go prices keep going up. I went in today to grab a turkey wrap which usually comes with a salad or chips and they now up charge for those items! Ended up settling with just the wrap and a pastry, total came out to $22 Woahh☹️ might be the last time I go in for a bite. Love the coffee tho!

First time visit to meet customer to talk business while grabbing a bite and some java. Staff picks for cold Blue Russian coffee and turkey wrap were on point. Great tasting indeed. Thank you to Norah and Jeremiah for their friendliness and dedication to customer satisfaction.

So apparently the sandwiches don’t come with chips anymore?! Really not happy that I paid $15 for some rinky-dink sandwich that barely had any chicken on it and was mostly bread. I mean, it’s nice bread, but come on.

Feels like a hidden gem. Cozy seating, soft music, and great lighting.
