The food here was very good, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. However, I was disappointed with the way my bill was handled. I put my card down for a $50 total, not realizing at first that my drinks weren’t included. The waiter ran my card for $80 and then mentioned they had forgotten to add the drinks. I’m always happy to pay for what I ordered, but I think the updated bill should have been brought to me before charging my card for a higher amount. It just didn’t feel right.

Small place, but very nice and they’ve made awesome use of additional outdoor seating. The menu is small, but extremely well thought out and delicious! We had the smash burger and the French dip. Regular fries and the truffle fries, cheese sticks, and a delicious salad. It was 10/10!

The Refinery is a cozy, eclectic spot tucked alongside other small businesses and bars. Parking is limited right in front of the door, so you may have to park a little ways off and walk down—but it’s worth it. The food was good, the staff was friendly, and the overall vibe felt relaxed and comfortable. It’s not quite a “hippie” vibe, but definitely leans artsy and laid-back.
We sat at the bar and ended up chatting with other friendly couples. Most of the crowd seemed to be in their 30s and up, so it felt more mature than a typical young nightlife scene.
One thing to note: if you’re in a wheelchair or need extra space, this may not be the best fit. The layout doesn’t allow for much room to maneuver.
Overall, it’s a great place to grab a bite, have a drink, and enjoy good company

Well, very nice atmosphere. Other than that, the menu is very limited your standard/average restaurant prices. I was a little put off because I got there around 5 o’clock and I said oh do you have any specials/happy hour and the response goes well it’s a dollar off domestic beer. That was it end of conversation so I opted for a glass of wine. It was eight dollars, which is a good price but it was a six dollar glass as far as the portion size was concerned. It turned me off from wanting to order dinner at that point so I paid my eight bucks and I got out of them. I went down the road to the next block on the corner and this wonderful restaurant had happy hour nine things for happy hour or under $10 and every drink beer, wine or liquor had a special not this place.

Living in the area, lakeview is our favorite neighborhood and after finding The Refinery, it has quickly become one of our favorite neighborhood spots to support. Everything from lunch to dinner to great cocktails! Very cozy and a great neighborhood vibe!
The vibe, the service, and the attention to details are unmatched. The food is consistent and the cocktails are well balanced, fit for any occasion. I highly recommend the Miso Chicken Sandwich on a croissant- You won’t be disappointed!
