The Taquería Tafoya offers authentic Mexican dishes. The enchiladas were absolutely authentic, packed with rich flavor, and made just right, with perfectly seasoned chicken layered on top. The tostada de ceviche was loaded and full of fresh, vibrant flavor. The tacos are so good, and the gorditas and menudo are also yummy. The horchata is divine. The food is authentic, and the meat is perfect in taste and texture. The service is fast, friendly, and genuine. The large open dining area has healthfully thoughtful spacing of tables. The food is not expensive, hot, freshly made, and high quality. There is a choice of normal condiments like cilantro, pickled onions, onions, cucumber, and sauces. They have beer and other “softer” drinks. This is one of the truly great hole-in-the wall finds. It is recommended, but not that fancy experience. It is way cheaper than a flight to Mexico to get the local vibe.
