The best food and drinks I've had in a long time! The atmosphere is fantastic and the service is great. Came for dinner then went back for brunch the next morning. Truly cannot say enough good things about this place!

I went there for a friend's birthday dinner and sat with a group of nine. We had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was on point. My wife's beer was surprisingly affordable and they kept my water glass full. At the end on the dinner, they mistakenly ran my card on the wrong tab, did a return and correctly ran my tab. The server informed me of it and gave me the paperwork showing the refund and I understood. Greg, the owner, came up and personally apologized, gave me a coupon and invited me back. Mistakes happen but how you handle them says a lot to me. They went beyond what I thought was necessary and I appreciate it. I will be back.

First time eating here and the food is pretty good and the owner is even nicer. We went during brunch, so unfortunately the menu is limited and the vegan options are even scarcer. I ordered the vegan burger with fries. Both were cooked to order and cooked very well. The vegan patty is Morningstar. And the bread is vegan too! The patty was juicy and the fries crispy. I would definitely return during dinner to try more vegan options from the full menu.

I have been here several times. The atmosphere is fun, light and laid back. The decor makes you think or wish that you're on a summer beach vacation! There's also outdoor seating with an area with umbrellas and cool beach chairs. The drunken mussels are why we keep coming back, they are amazing!! This was my first time to try mussels and we were not disappointed!! They are served in a buttery, garlic white sauce that I would drink if no one was watching!! ‍ They come out with a few pieces of toasted crusty French bread which is perfect for soaking up some of that brothy goodness from the mussels. We also fell in love with the shrimp Birmingham which were skewers of grilled shrimp with a sweet-tangy rosemary sauce. They have taken them off the menu though. I'm hoping to see them back soon as they say they rotate some items. I have the 4 stars because the drinks are not good unless you like trying weird concoctions. On our last visit my husband had the Pain Killer . It was a hot mess topped with nutmeg. Most of the drinks are odd recipes to say the least. They do have a bar and could probably make your fav libation.

This is a homelike place that is very comfortable for customers. There is a drink bar also. Loved they way they serve foods either. Suggested for food lovers. Some of the foods you can try are Fish and Chips, Sloppy Juan, Cottage Pie, Caribbean Pasta etc.

We had an early lunch at the thirsty donkey yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. The service was good and the food was delicious as well. The service and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and our lunch arrived very quickly. We will likely return.

The Vegan options were really good. They have a cute restaurant with a back story. I'm glad I chose to check them out. Great place to go if you are Vegan.

When I asked, they said “this is more of a restaurant then a bar”, I say go for the drinks not the food!!

The first thing I noticed when walking into the patio to the restaurant was how neat and orderly and clean everything was- I appreciate this! Greeted by nice lady, waitress, both ordered the BLTGT, which was a bacon, lettuce, fried green tomato and pimento cheese sandwich. The proportions of each ingredient were perfect- none over powering the other- just perfect harmony. A really tasty sandwich!! I did not eat my fries that day, but they must have been good, because my lunch partner did. A very nice man checked on us. I think the very nice lady and very nice man may be the owners. Very friend, clean restaurant with very good good. Look forward to going back and trying something else!

Went to The Thirsty Donkey for their Saturday brunch. The brunch menu is very small. I opted for the the Burger it was a great choice.. it was perfect just the right size! Their French fries were awesome too! They food came out pretty fast considering they had a full house. It's not the best for big groups it's a smaller restaurant but they do have a large outside space. The our waiter was super nice and gave us suggestions. Overall great place go I can't wait to go back to try their regular menu.

Greg and Kathy serve elevated island bar fare in a fun, casual atmosphere. I'm part of the group of regulars who dine here every Friday at lunch -- usually for the fish and chips. The weekend brunch is one of the best in town. When it's nice weather, bring your dog and sit outside. When it's not so nice, come inside for the vegan chili.

Very pleasant staff. Quick, efficient service. The food is fresh and a nice beer list. (no draft, though) Some interesting mixed drink options, as well. My friend had the Coral Bay Sliders, which consist of two conecuh sausage sliders, pimento cheese, comes with house-made green tomato chow-chow and fries. I had the fish and chips (which is only available on Fridays). Crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. This place will definitely be a part of our rotation. Oh, also, they have a large outside seating area that looks like it might be a fun place for night time gatherings.

The new JaMango Me Crazy burger is insanely good. I thought nothing could top the fish and chips, but this tasty burger is giving that fried food a serious run for its money.

GREAT service! Very good biscuit and gravy I had with 2 poached eggs :) my partner had the vegan hash bowl...good, very chili like. Beach vibe interior. The Bloody Mary selection is fun. I had the Kentucky Mary w bourbon. Only cons...plastic cups instead of glasses...and no coffee :/ We'll be back!
