OMG!! This place was amazing! My Fiancé and I had a much needed date night, so many nice places to choose from, but very very pleased we chose The Yard! Service was great, really wish I could remember our waitresses name, she was so sweet!! They had our table ready for us before we got there, atmosphere was perfect!! Food was amazing!! Perfectly paired with the sides!! Very impressed with the prices, especially with how nice the place is...I want to say Thank you to The Yard for making this night absolutely perfect! We will most definitely be coming back every chance we get!! You guys gotta try this place!!

The duck confit pot pie was good, but too salty. It is definitely a comfort food. The desserts were scrumptious!

I was looking for a place for brunch near Birmingham Museum of Art. Every other place anywhere nearby was already booked. There is a reason that during a very popular brunch time in Birmingham, the Yard has plenty of availability. I believe our waitress was new, and that is understandable she would be slower. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, and everyone was having slow service. Even though the restaurant was mostly empty, the host seated us right next to another table. The two women were loudly facetiming with someone else for a very lengthy time. It was extremely loud and annoying to the point that once our food came, our group moved to the opposite side of the restaurant. While the restaurant can't be blamed for rude patrons, there's no need to seat people directly next to each other in a otherwise empty room. This is a very lovely venue in a very popular area. I don't know what the overall problem is, but I would guess as usual, in these situations it would be management.

A gastronomic masterpiece. The chef's ability to elevate simple ingredients is truly impressive

I had pre-requested a booth but when I got there was taken to a 2 seat table with seating across from my girlfriend. I had to ask for the sidebyside section, but they were able to adjust on the fly, just glad we had an early reservation. Just to note, we prefer sidebyside seating and did pre-request it. I had also requested 2 red roses in a vase on table to signify our second valentines, which obviously did not materialize. Why ask for special perks when they don't happen. The waiter, ambiance and the food was great, no arguments there at all.

This restaurant is a part of the Elyton Autograph Hotel. The food was really good. I had the short ribs which were tender and flavorful, the grits were perfect, and the collard greens were great! I enjoyed every bite. My husband had the burger and fries. I tried this and it was juicy and flavorful.Cocktails were great too! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall a wonderful dinner

Date nite with my husband, and the food was great, the restaurant was nice and clean, music nice and low, and waiters were sweet, helpful snd professional! Enjoyed our outing so much as we talked and loved on each other.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! The seasonal specialty cocktails were fabulous. I had the Autumn Manhattan (cinnamon, nutmeg, spiced cherry). My wife had the Ascent Old Fashioned (cherry, orange , brown sugar). We split the roasted radicchio and pear salad-Fabulous.We also split the daily special which was Fabulous. Herb encrusted halibut served on a bed of purple risotto and shaved Brussel sprouts with a turmeric cream sauce.

Worst restaurant I have been to. Food was terrible, not one of the 4 of us enjoyed anything. It took over 30 mins for our server to come to our table. We had a reservation. Special menu @$100 per person, not listed on their website. First course was frozen cheese, second a "salad" which consisted of radicchio and two tiny slivers of some citrus. Main dish of duck, approximately 2 ozs. If that. Soggy asparagus and flavorless potatoes. Dessert was dry crumbly cake with a bitter red pear slice on top. Bill was $300 for two. Special cocktail menu had 2 drinks they could not make because they did not have liquor for them. There was 2 other diners in rear, and a group of 6 walk ins ordering drinks. We overhard them ask if they were accepting people with no reservations. They had two rounds and checks before we were even asked.I've been wanting to eat here for some time and extremely disappointed. I'd give negative stars if I could.

Went for New Years dinner and service was atrocious. Only two of the four courses were edible, the first course came out frozen and we were told it was suppose to be, it was not.Took over 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks. Absolutely miserable experience, the restaurant was empty except for us, should have been our first tip off we were in for a bad time but we were willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Our mistake. Don’t go, definitely not on special menu nights.

Our dinners were truly delicious and unique. The presentation was gorgeous for both our plates. My husband had the steak with potatoes and caramelized onions, and I ordered the market fish with purple risotto, Brussel sprouts, crispy sunchokes and micro greens. Skylar was our server and he was fully attentive and checked with us throughout our dinner. The decor is elegant with exposed brick walls and heavenly lighting. If you are celebrating anything or simply wish for a fabulously prepared dinner, The Yard is the place to go!
