We just enjoyed a Mardi Gras meal of red beans and rice and a fresh green salad with balsamic dressing. It was delicious, and we got to meet the visionary head chef Lawanda Buckhannon. WE Cafe is feeding the West End community in so many healthy ways. Thank you!

The smiles, the warmth, the, hugs, the comfort, the peace of mind, good music that goes along with the atmosphere and just down right people who care. I feel like I'm at home anytime I walk through these doors...literally?God bless this ministry

I would not recommend Urban Ministry at this time because of the people that works for urban Ministry at this time
I have a sister who was in a car accident last year and as a result of the accident she has severe brain damage. I am a single man doing my best to care for her without any help from anyone. I was told by social security that Urban Ministry could help with my power bill. I called them for help and I was rudely told my severely brain damage sister would have to have the Power bill in her name or I would have to have power of attorney over her. I will be in the dark tomorrow because it seems to me that they don't help many people, they just want donations.
Great cause and great food!!!

I love the people at Urban Ministry and what they do. They are affiliated with some wonderful neighborhoods on the West side of Birmingham.
