This review is long overdue. Yum Yai serves the best Thai food in Birmingham. As a Thai native, I can vouch that they're incredibly creative with their dishes while preserving authentic flavors. I love their Esan sausages as an appetizer and usually order papaya salad with fried chicken. My husband loves their Khao Soi. Their coconut cake is delicious, too. If you want to experience authentic Thai food, please try Yum Yai!

You guys this is the best Thai food I’ve ever had!! The duck noodle dish is DELISH!!!! There’s another duck dish with curry that my husband got and it was AMAZING. He didn’t want to share! Horrible! Amazing!! Beautiful restaurant, great service, delicious food. Please stop by for the Pearl/espresso martinis, and an off the menu special: whole fried snapper with mango salad! Minnie was great and attentive.
The food was amazing - definitely one of the best Thai places I have been to so far. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. It came out rather quick and service was great as well. Our server Minnie was really welcoming and friendly which made our visit run smoothly. Would recommend this place for sure.

My husband and I were craving Thai food, it had been some time since we'd had any. We decided to try someplace new and after some online searching, I found Yum Yai. The atmosphere was inviting from the moment we walked in. As the hostess was seating us, we were greeted very cheerfully by our server, who introduced herself as Pamela. From the moment we sat down, she treated us like we were the only customers there. She actually had other customers she took care of, but she was there for everything we needed. She was great about suggestions for appetizers and entrees. She was super sweet and just seemed so happy to be taking care of us. We found her absolutely delightful! We both had the coconut soup, which was delicious comfort food for us. I had the egg rolls and my husband had the Chicken Thai Rice. It was all so yummy! But, what truly made our visit so special, was Pamela! If you go there to eat, you need to ask for her! She will make you feel like royalty! 10 stars! 🌟
