Now renamed Dos Botellas, it’s got problems. We’ve been twice, hoping it was new owner jitters but second time not a charm. Ground beef liquidy and greasy. Servings are large but haphazardly plated and served. Music is blastingly loud. Not a new favorite.

I've never felt bullied by a waitress until today. I went to visit Zappata for the first time with two friends at 5:00 pm on a Friday. It was not very busy - We sat down and ordered drinks and bean dip. My friend was unable to eat cheese dip / queso and the bean dip arrived on the table and our friend realized they were unable to eat it as it contained a lot of queso. When our waitress came back, we politely stated that we could not eat it as it contained cheese dip and our waitress replied "its bean dip, it has queso in it." we replied again that we would not be able to eat it and said we'd be happy to pay for it. The waitress walked away and left the bean dip on our table. After that interaction, we had difficulty getting service or attention. By the time she came back to our table, we asked for our check. She took at least 10 minutes to get our check. We asked if we pay up front and she said she would run our card for us and bring it back. After another 10 minutes we see her bussing tables and waiting on other people. (Keep in mind they had several other workers on the floor) We had to walk up to the front of restaurant and ask for our card, which was just sitting on the counter. We were there for 50 minutes to only get drinks, bean dip and bad service. We felt the waitress' actions were intentional.

This restaurant is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. Whenever I I need a special dinner, this restaurant comes immediately to my head. best and diverse food and a rich cuisine.helpful crew, and nice mood. Also, the bill is modest. I suggest this place with no doubt.

The fact that my son took the lid off his cup to eat some ice at the end of our meal and found a DROWNED COCKROACH is the reason that I do not recommend this place. Adding insult to injury, after showing said drowned cockroach to the manager, he offered to not charge us FOR THE DRINK!!!! I think he knocked about $5 off of our bill when I complained. They should have paid ME for this nasty, disgusting experience!! God only knows what we ingested without knowing

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants! We especially like their Chile Rellenos because they’re not fried.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. And the food is out of this world. Best Mexican food I've had anywhere. The carnitas are wonderful. La adelita is the best dish ever! Everything is delicious.

The service is always so great when I visit this restaurant. I always feel like I am welcome and that means a lot to me. The food is quite delicious, especially the various specialty dishes they serve. I try something new nearly every time I visit. If you are wanting to eat somewhere that packs a punch flavor wise & where you will be treated with kindness every visit, check this place out!

This is, hands down, our favorite restaurant of all time. We are always greeted and treated like family, no matter how busy they are, and that's just one of the reasons we love it. VZ has some of the best food, as well, and I've never tried anything I didn't like!

The name on the sign is now El Cazador. I think the food is very good. They maintain a regular wait staff which is important (they know me). It is not gourmet but is more tasty than the other Trussville Mexican style restaurants. I suggest the single steak burrito, El Cazador Special (with the green sauce), and a Margarita.
