Bama Bucks is a great spot for families and date nights, offering good food at a slightly higher price. The on-site zoo is small but fun, with a $5 entry fee. Visitors can see bears and kangaroos while dining near the wildlife. The menu features amazing wild game dishes like Smoked Pheasant, Bison steaks, elk steaks, and beef ribeyes, as well as standard dishes and BBQ and Cajun pastas. Guests often enjoy the bread pudding and smoked gouda macaroni and cheese bites. The service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is peaceful with an antique, old timey feel, making it a nice place to visit again when in the area. The owner is always checking in on guests. While the wait during peak hours can be very long, many say it’s worth it, and the outdoor zoo, gift shop, and other attractions add to the visit.
