New spot, same great service and food! Thanks, Bailey, for the hospitality, and congrats on the engagement!
We really enjoyed our dinner tonight! The outdoor dining is great with a wonderful view. Our server Anna was so sweet and helpful! So excited for their new location and looking forward to many more meals here!
Our waitress, Kimberly, was amazing. The atmosphere was fun and the food was absolutely delicious. The best meal we’ve had on our trip to Gulf Shores.

Meme's River House Restaurant is a historic and hidden gem, offering a relaxing, down-to-earth setting for a memorable meal. The service, particularly from a standout server named Anna, is exceptional and friendly. The menu features a variety of options, including gluten-free dishes like the GF fish plate and several appetizers such as boil and peel shrimp, chips and queso, and Ahi tuna. The seafood alfredo and shrimp grits are highly recommended. Prices are reasonable, with a satisfying meal for three coming in at around $107.
The food, atmosphere, and service are highly praised by visitors. Many enjoy dining outside, especially when the weather is nice, and recommend arriving early to avoid crowds. Popular dishes include fried shrimp, blackened shrimp, trigger fish with various toppings, and the seafood stuffed mushrooms. The lobster bisque is often described as the best ever, with lots of lobster in it. Drinks like the butterfinger bushwacker are also a favorite, with portions considered large and filling. The staff, including servers like Rachel, are known for their excellent service. Overall, Meme's River House Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience away from touristy areas, making it a place visitors plan to return to whenever they are in town.
