Went on Aug the 22nd for 2 steak dinner specials 36.99 steak was toughest one I've ever tried to eat fries were cold couldn't even eat the toast was cold a tough as leather the salad was the only decent thing they served won't be going back

Great little bbq joint! Good food and attentive service.
I had a to go order and didn't dine in, but service was very good, even though it was extremely busy. My wait wasn't bad and my entire order was right, even though it was a larger order to go. All the food was good.

Drove 40 minutes to Boondocks for Sunday lunch. Second party through the door.. ordered off the board vs the menu. People that came after us received their food while we waited and waited. Finally we ask to pay for our tea and left. No apology. We also drive out last Sunday to find the restaurant closed. If this was posted, we missed it. Oh well, they have plenty of locals because the food there is delicious. The other times we have been there, it was a good experience. Something off today because they had no non-diet soft drinks. Posting to be sure the manager is aware.

We've been visiting Boondocks for years. It's literally out in the boonies, but worth the drive. The steak is so much better than any big steakhouse in town. BBQ is perfect. Some of the sides are a little bland open-can style, but I've never had issue eating them. The servers are busy but always friendly. The atmosphere is "hole in the wall" but is clearly maintained and clean. Tiny bathroom, but clean. Few more flies inside in the summer, but it's Alabama...can't fault them. They have the door blower to try and prevent, but again it's Bama and there's flies. Nice outdoor seating option when the weather is nice. Menu is a nice variety and easily one that anyone in your party will find something to enjoy. From Catfish, burgers, steak, and ribs. Can't go wrong.

Boondocks is a quaint little family bbq place. We went Sunday after church but we felt like we walked into a family dinner but weren’t invited. We got stared as if we didn’t belong. Shrug. The bbq plate was very tasty. Not much else to brag about. They were out of ribs but I bet they would be good. All the sides were served lukewarm but were ok. Cole slaw was very good.
