This was my first time visiting this restaurant. The service was very friendly. We were seated right away and our order was taken in a timely manner for the size of the crowd. The food ordered came out hot and as quickly as could be expected. The time we waited was well worth it. The food was excellent! Had dinner with my Mom here. It's very convenient since it's just down the highway from my Mom's home. The food and service are great. Tried the twisted tomatoes for an appetizer and they were really good.Has a real hometown feel.

The interior tempature was a bit cold but ok. I feel like the BBQ was some the. Most consistent in the county. It was moist hot but not to hot as far as temp went. The sauce was simple but good. Every side I had that day was Very good fries slaw and baked beans . M enjoyed very much enjoyed her meal as well.Parking: Plenty of space.

The food is the best in the area! Prepared perfectly , good proportions, served hot. Nice to have standard selections daily accompanied by lunch specials. Nice covered outdoor area and comfortable indoor dining. But the service makes this place outstanding! Ms. Merle is awesome.All the ladies are efficient, friendly, and conscientious. They really want you to have a good experience and they make you feel like you are important. You won't regret eating here! Boondocks should branch out to more places and open more restaurants!Parking: Right on the road.Kid-friendliness: Atmosphere is definitely kid friendly.
me and my fiancé eat here for our valentines dinner and it was so good! they even had a Valentines dessert on the menu, which was also really good! Food came out really fast. very welcoming and friendly, would definitely eat here again!!

Boondocks is a fun little barbecue place out in the sticks. - Food Good food, country style. We went with another couple and the wives had baked potatoes, and the guys had barbecue. Typical Southern fare. The menus could be more informative on what comes with the meal. When we asked what meals came with, it really changed our orders - Service Friendly service, informative and helpful. Best service around! Bottom Line I'd go again if I needed a place to eat in Bibb. Otherwise, sadly, I could almost cook the same thing in my own kitchen given a few minutes.

Our second visit to Boondocks was proof of consistency. We started with the Twisted Tomatoes which is a ribbon cut green tomato battered and fried. A really interesting take on fried green tomatoes and absolutely delicious. I had the Hamburger Steak with gravy and onions, mashed potatoes and baked beans. Again a complete hit. My wife had the Country Fried steak with mashed potatoes n gravy and green beans. I believe this is a complete duplication of our orders on our first visit, confirmation of our satisfaction. I am tempted to try the BBQ next visit. My only complaint is that the sides are limited to the BBQ restaurant standards....cole slaw, baked beans, green beans, french fries, tater tots, potato salad and Mac n cheese. Wish they had Collards, pinto beans, black eyed peas and other meat n three staples but again it is primarily a bbq place so I understand. This is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. The establishment is in Brierfield AL so it is a bit of a drive for many but worth the effort if this fare is what you crave. Service is awesome and my only other desire would be a cold beer but alcohol is not served. Will definitely return soon!
