Fantastic gem of a restaurant for weary travelers! Can’t recommend highly enough.

GREAT EVENING

Wonderful Friday night with my husband, our entrees were really good. The salad was lacking in substance. The salad needed, cucumbers, onions, I had one grape tomato. Otherwise the Chicken Parm, and Lasagna were so good

EXCELLENT!!! We have had Italian food in Italy, New York, Chicago, New Orleans, and all points in between, and the food at Bertolone's is easily one of the very best! From the delicious dipping oil and bread to the lasagna, meatballs and spaghetti, and the triple chocolate cake (made in-house), it is absolutely delicious!!!! The atmosphere is casual, and it is at the end of a strip mall, but it is still well kept. So, if you are anywhere near Calera, Alabama south of Birmingham, do yourself a favor and go eat at Bertolone's!

P.S. We bought 2 bottles of their dipping oil to take with us as well!

Been eating with them since they were Joe's, then in Clanton. There's always a rude older lady, no matter which one I've popped into. I loved Joe and Mama's food! I bought a slice of cake only this visit. 4/19. I drove 25 mins bc I was craving it bad. It tasted freezer burnt. I didn't say anything and my kids get home and one says. That cake tastes like it's been in the refrigerator for a month. Then my husband found it and said do not eat, it has something wrong with it. $10 slice of bride almond cake went in the trash. It was dry white box mix style with a freezer after taste. Wasn't fresh. I've bought many cakes there, but that might be my last.

Good food and the bread with olive oil dip is a big plus.

We love this place. Could have gotten OG, but I like supporting our local mom and pops. The food is so delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing. We didn't get dessert this time, but they are so wonderful. You should get one to take home for later. The service I'd always top notch. Don't miss this genuinely great restaurant.

FANTASTIC food and amazing service!

The amount of food that was served verses the price was spot on. It matched up perfectly. The staff was very welcoming and treated us with up.ost respect, was able to answers any questions without hesitation. The taste of the Alfredo sauce was fresh, not from a jar like some places use. The pizza with the fathead crust was AMAZING. The flavors complimented each other so well, that you knew it was all freshly made. As a chef, myself and always being proud of my creations, I was proud to say they were outstanding.

We stop here a lot whenever we go to or through Calera. The food is always excellent and the staff is friendly and takes care of our needs. They also have gluten-free options which is a big plus for me.

Good food served with a little spunk. Bread and oil mix together were awesome! The toasted raviolis were great too. Not fond of the Caesar salad and the Keto lasagna was a bit different.

Absolutely love this place! 💗 I have been over much of the world and still nothing NOTHING beats the Tomato 🍅 Bisque 🍲 that Bertolone's has been know for since I tried it for the first time at their original location in Clanton. You likely won't find anything bad on their menu, and OH MY GOSH definitely check out the cakes and tiramisu. 🍰 You come here and lose yourself in a beautiful restaurant and forget that you're essentially in a Walmart parking lot. So awesome. ❤️

Love this place! Great service, great food at reasonable prices. We always stop by when we’re in the area.
