This is a disgrace to BBQ places. I live up the road and went here soon after it opened and wow can I say it was bad. I've had store bought BBQ and sides out of the freezer section that tasted better. I hate to be that way, but whomever told this person they made good BBQ should be arrested and charged. I drive by it everyday and I never see anyone there, and it never looks open. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks this. So yourself a favor and so not get BBQ from this place. I have HEARD their burgers are good. I will never know.

I ordered the pork plate with fries and potato salad as my sides.The positives: Smoked pork had a good flavor and wasn’t dry. The BBQ sauce is yummy!The negatives: The fries were nothing special, which is okay, if you have phenomenal fry seasoning… unfortunately, fries weren’t seasoned at all. The potato salad looked ok, but smelled weird and tasted off - so only had a bite of that.My suggestions are to up your fry game and to adjust your potato salad recipe. Great job on the smoked pork and sauce!
We stopped here because we couldn’t reach the other bbq place across the tracks and discovered an amazing hidden gem! This place has incredible bbq and service and the owner is kind hearted and charitable. This is our new favorite spot in calera!

While in town stopped for some BBQ and was not disappointed. Had the pork plate with potato salad and coleslaw. There is no seating inside but they have seating set up outside under cover. The breeze was nice making it very comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food had a great flavor and everything was delicious. Glad that I can and recommend this location to anyone.
I keep trying to give this place a chance but their food isn't consistently good. Ordered the stuffed bbq pork potato & what I got was a little potato with a bite sized amount of pork & no bbq sauce. I ate it dry & still feel hungry because the portion & the meat was so small. I don't eat large portions so it just shows this was hardly worth the price of a whole entree. The sweet tea also tasted strongly of tap water. I think this is probably gonna be the last time I waste my money here.

Went and finally tried this place. Honestly all the food was good. Ladies were really sweet. My only complaint was they ran out of potato salad and I went at 1030 am. Also the lemonade was extremely watery. We tried ribs, hamburger, hamburger salad, baked beans, Mac and cheese and bbq chicken sandwich and EVERYTHING was seasoned well and cooked well. I will definitely be back again

DC's Smokehouse is one of those local holes that really needs more attention. I can say with certainty that you should phone your order in! This is fresh-made food, like, while you wait. They'd hugely benefit from table-service, and maybe that's coming, but for now... call it in, and enjoy as soon as you can!The Burger here is the best local burger you can get, period. I love a good hamburger/cheeseburger, and these are the best I've had in a while. Their Hot Hamburger, smothered in gravy, mushrooms, and onions? Also the best Hot Hamburger I've had in years. Better than all the others out there right now; it hearkens back to weekend restaurant hits as a kid.Their BBQ is smoky and delicious, their potato salad delicious and their banana pudding... just don't sleep on that one.
First time trying the food today and it was great. Portion was good for the price and drive through attendant was very nice.
