Food was garbage rice was mushy and bland I ordered sweet and sour chicken but when I received the chicken it wasn’t no sauce on it just dry and bland chicken definitely won’t be going back

A couple weeks ago, I was sick with a cold. I thought egg drop soup and a couple of egg rolls would help me to feel better. I didn’t want to drive far because I was feeling so bad. But via google search, I found Magic Wok just a couple miles away. When I walked in, I noted no customers at all. I placed my order and waited as a take out customer. So, when I got home I ate the egg drop soup which was good enough. But the egg rolls were the worst egg rolls I have ever had in my life. They were overcooked first of all. Secondly, the filling was sketchy. It actually looked like bacon bits were part of the filling. But they were tasteless and I only ate a 1/4 of one and threw the rest out for the raccoons/possums. A couple days later when I was feeling better I bought a couple of egg rolls from the WalMart Deli and they were absolutely delicious.

Its a very lovely place and they dont take long with your food. Just the fried rice is a tad bit to salty for me but it was still great Also prices are worth the amount of food

I als ordered steamed dumplings Very good But My order of Chicken curried with rice was HORRIBLE… The rice was HARD The egg roll was TOUGH AND THE Chicken in the dish was almost all CHICKEN SKIN Horrible!!!
Absolutely the BEST Mongolian Beef I’ve ever had! Magic Wok has become our default Asian restaurant in the Calera area.

I would gladly give 5 stars but the atmosphere is severely lacking these days. My coworkers and I used to eat here just about every week. The food is always hot and fresh and good for what I consider the restaurant is. However my complaint, and petty it may be is the clutter. There were two tables covered with what appeared to be personal stuff. There is a cooler in the dining area full of stuff, not sure why. There is also clutter behind the register. I personally don't care to see this when eating in a restaurant. It's a total turn off and really no reason for it. I could also see in the kitchen area and it looked cluttered as well. They do have a 95 on their score, so there's that. I will attempt to eat here again in a few weeks and see if it's cleaned up at all. I hope the owners except the criticism constructively.
