As I was traveling through Chatom Alabama this morning, this place caught my eye. I was hungry and needed a large breakfast. This place did not disappoint. It's easily one of the best breakfasts I've had since I last visited the Pacific Northwest. Jakes Family Restaurant is a unique and quirky representation of almost any small southern town. Yes, they will probably talk about you and likely will poke a little fun, but it just shows how much they like you. They aren’t necessarily keen to newcomers and out-of-towners, but if you return more than twice, you might get to sit at Table #8 to offer the latest news, philosophical approach, or ingenious solution.
