This was our first time ever trying Tin Top BBQ for their Valentines Dinner special. We ordered the special with one medium steak and one medium rare steak. We were given a rare steak instead of the medium one so one steak was uneditable due to being extremely undercooked versus the medium we wanted. We were missing our desserts that were supposed to come with the special and we didn’t receive any drinks either.
The service is excellent, my wife loved the pork, and the sauce is good. The slaw is interesting, it has pickles in it. Not my thing but still not a bad idea.
Mac and cheese was good. Okra was tasty. Green beans were good.
I got the brisket plate. It was cut with the grain(so tough and chewy), had no flavor, and was very dry.
I would recommend the other food, but definitely not the brisket.
My 3 sisters and I stopped for lunch today on our way home from Guntersville. I had the chopped smoked chicken...absolutely delicious! The meat was so moist and tender. I even ordered "to go" to bring home. The service was great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
