Great experience here! We had a rib/chicken combo plate and chicken tender plate. Both served with two generous side dishes of your choice from a nice list of sides. The owner is a very personable man and he genuinely cares that you have good food and a good experience at his establishment. Cannot wait to go back and try other items on his menu!

Pottery has some of the best smoked pork anywhere in the state. The smoky flavor is deep and is served with a mild sauce that enhances the taste. The pork is pulled then chopped so that a full bite easily fits on a fork. When you get some of the crunchy bark bark mixed in with the soft middle, it's the perfect combination of textures and flavor. It's really fun to eat and will make your taste buds happy. Sides are good and self-serve Pepsi products are on tap. I also recommend the smoked sausage. Delicious!

Want good food, find a hole in the wall, out in the country. That's Pottery Grill. The food is always good. Their beans have so much meat, you could eat them as a meal. Friendly staff. If you want good BBQ, try them!

The food was fair at best. There was little in the way of service and the kitchen is in dire need of better ventilation. The entire dining room was full of smoke, making our eyes burn and uncomfortable to breathe. The sign claims it is the best in the area. I'd hate to see any worse.

Always always great food and service! The owners are top notch people who strive to make your meal great at a price that is reasonable!!The food is always good. The chopped pork plate is what I usually eat and it never ever disappoints!!! It's got a great smoky taste and the sauce is great too!! I never ever have fat and gristle in my meat from here. Ever. I love this place and remember when the place was called " Ham's Pottery", when I was a kid. We went there a lot. Eat here!! It's wonderful and so family friendly!!!

This is what I think of when I think BBQ!Everything that used to be white is that yellow smoke stained color. Nothing is dirty. It looks and smells like BBQ has been made here for 100 years. The food taste like they have 100 years experience making it! The meat (all of them) are top shelf. Their sides are perfect. I am a big fan of the banana pudding. The sauce (if you just have to have some) is not necessary, but fantastic if you use some. It is without a doubt the best BBQ in the Tuscaloosa area. I think they keep the soul of BBQ in the back somewhere.
