I often stop here on the way back from Birmingham. Usually the beer is cold and their cheese burger and onion rings are really good. It is a local place and normally have local clientele. They are hospitable but one should remember that it has been in business this long because of the locals.
A great clean burger! They do not need to do a bunch of extras to mask the taste of the meat, just enough seasoning, so you know it's there. My ONLY complaint was that the garden was upside down on the bottom, causing my bun to get soggy. The staff was most helpful and some of the friendliest folks you will meet, they make you feel like an old friend. Such a nice small bar. Pool tables in the back, music was playing. Bartender and other people there friendly. They claim to have the best burgers in town. I would agree, so was the onion rings!
