I stopped in Tuscaloosa for an overnight stay when returning from my annual trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. I wanted barbecue and have previously tried the well-known Tuscaloosa spots. This time I hoped to find a lesser known, but still delicious, bbq spot. I was staying on the east side, so when I came across recommendations for Cottondale's The Pottery Grill, my decision was made. It was easy to find, not far from I-20. It wasn't large or fancy, a typical roadfood...
I placed a carryout order. It was ready right on time, carried out to my car, and accurate. The food was so delicious! The smokey flavor was in every bite and the sides were just as good as the meats! Will definitely be back. And the value for what I paid... cheaper than groceries.
