“It had been over 40 yrs since the last time I had visited Fat Mans, so today my wife and I decided to visit and check them out. My wife had a cheesburger with fries and sweet tea. She commented that the cheeseburger was cooked properly, cheese was melted and it tasted great. She had mustard only so there were no other condiments.
As a bbq lover, i had to try the large chopped pork sandwich with fries. We got there at 11:04 am and they had just opened at 11 so while our orders were taken immediately there was a few minute wait in order to be called to pick up food. (order is placed counter, paid for, and picked up at counter and drinks are self serve as well) My sandwich was a really nice size portion of chopped pork on a really fresh bun. Very tender and juicy and filtered very well, meaning no globs of fat, bone pieces, etc. Smoke flavor was very prevalent as well. Pickles lay on top and amount of sauce on meat was not overpowering. The sauce was a bit tangy, good flavor although i do prefer a sweet heat kind of flavor. Cole slaw was a sweet slaw, chopped fine and served in styrofoam cups. Good flavor and generous portion paired with this size sandwich.
Our fries were just basic fries, unseasoned, decent but nothing special.
Q was good, wife enjoyed the burger and we will definitely be back. BBQ and sides are sold by the lb so Im sure they could make a nice lunch to take up to the lake and enjoy. Good Job Fatman....it wont be another 40 yrs before we come back for sure!”

“It's the Burger Man with Best Burgers in America Association, and I was invited to come and score a burger for Jumbo's. I am glad I did. I got the Double Classic Cheeseburger, and it had two 8-ounce patties on it. A pound of Meat. Fresh, never-frozen, hand-patted-out patties. The toppings were fresh as well. Great Owners and staff. Got to put this on your Bucket List. In Pell City, AL.”

“Very rarely do I eat my full meal at a restaurant but tonight it was great ! I got the cheesesteak burrito with rice , my husband got the boneless wings (mango habanero) and my son got the pizza bites with fries . My burrito was so good ! I will say it could’ve used cheese inside the burrito but there was so much on the top it made up for it . My husband loved the wings and my son loved the fries. Good portions , enough where nothing goes to waste . I think Mexican food should be eaten hot and fresh .”

“I've only had take out from this place but oh gosh was it fantastic. The muffuletta sandwich is the BEST outside of New Orleans! One sando is 2 meals :) Their pizza has amazing crust and I will never eat pizza in this town again unless it's homemade. Although I opted for take out the few times I've eaten here, the staff is always smiling, fast, and friendly.”

“Great place to visit if you are passing by on a road trip or if you are a local. Averaging $15 per person for dinner, it is a great option with awesome food. I don’t say this to sound pompous or bougie, but, travel across the US a lot, visiting multiple cities a year and dinning in everything from hole-in-the-walls to high-end restaurants. I highly recommend this one!”
