Really enjoyed this little find. Food was very good, drinks were as well!

Dined here for lunch, shared the bison burger (subbed out for the smoked gouda). Came out perfect, as did the crispy fries. Delicious! Decided some of the dinner items intrigued us enough to come back for dinner. Had the pepper jack cheese sticks (wrapped in egg roll wrappers). Very tasty! Shared the seared scallops and grits with fries. The fries were, again, crispy as ordered. However, the "seared" scallops had no color, and the grits were as thick as spackle. Please have your cook visit The Busy Bee, just around the corner to learn how to make grits properly! I have included a picture from there as reference.
Service at lunchtime was better. Your two top tables are very small, which makes for an uncomfortable dining experience. The ambiance is nice, but a bit dark on the lighting at night. Old eyes need light to see what to order as well what we're eating.

We traveled from out of town and chose this restaurant based on reviews. When we checked in the reservation desk was uninviting. She told us to close the door that we were literally trying to walk through to get into the restaurant. We waited well beyond the amount of time we were originally told as they continued to seat every other party. We ended up leaving without ever being seated. Will not be returning!

Public House never disappoints! Excellent food, drinks and service. Staff always friendly and prompt! Yummy snapper sandwich special for the day, Caesar salad and the Brussels are the best anywhere!

We were first time visitors the weekend after Thanksgiving.
The restaurant was very cold as a cold snap had hit the area.
Our food was divergent: my husband's scallops were wonderful and Ona great base.
My choice of linguine was less tasty, a bit overcooked and needs some oomph. Service was great.

Such a remarkable place. A bit small in times of Covid, but have no fear. Waitresses wear mask properly for the most part. The only thing I saw was one girl sneezed without a mask sending a frantic chill up my spine.
The food dishes I sampled were fantastic. The wonton nachos with chicken were delicious. The entree came out a short time later. The main dish, the Burger was massive and heavenly good. The Gouda cheese was on point. I had to save room for next dish, the chocolate cake The chocolate cake I had for dessert was delicious and moist. The ice cream was not a cheap knock off kind.
The waitress failed in my book in two ways. One, she was eager to drop the check before I even took a bite out of my burger, and second she never introduced herself. It's kinda unnerving to yell, "you with jeans and sweatshirt on. I need you" Would return despite the service.

Wow! Best meal I've had in a long time. My husband had the porkchop and you could cut it with a fork! Tacos could use some more flavor and the wonton nachos were so good!

I enjoy finding locally owned establishments to eat and visit.

I had the salmon dinner and it was one of the best salmon plates I have had.

I would highly recommend visiting the local establishment if you are ever in the Cullman area.
