I recently had the pleasure of having dinner here and it was a great experience.. met the owner at the door and she was very friendly and hospitable, great lady.. she explained the menu and recommended certain dishes that were well above even what she told us. We had the ribeye steak with baked potato and rice pilaf, the pork chops with Broccolini and green beans.. but the crawfish chowder is something you have to get and those pork chops were the best I’ve ever had.. tender melt in your mouth with great flavor.. everything was excellent and I can’t wait to be back in that area to visit them again. Loved everything!!

Typically, I don’t take time to write reviews. But since our decision to eat at Drifters was based on the reviews we found on Google, I want to share our experience. We thought we were off to a good start because the bang bang shrimp that we ordered as an appetizer was really good. But then everything started going downhill from there. As our food was being served, the server brought it to our attention that the sweet potatoes that we each had ordered were small. She voluntarily offered that they could replace them but it would be a few minutes until they prepared more. With the entrees sitting in front of us, we didn’t want to get a potato after we ate the rest of our meal. My husband requested for them to bring him a regular baked potato instead while I decided to make do with what I had. The server went to get his potato and brought it out promptly. The problem is that she didn’t ask what he wanted on it and brought it out with sour cream, which my husband does not eat. He didn’t want to wait for yet a third potato, therefore he did without and gave the potato to me since my sweet potato was so incredibly small (I was able to get one bite from it, literally ). The regular baked potato was edible but tasted like it has sat for a few hours. Next issue: the main entrees. My husband ordered ribeye. Based on reviews we read, he thought he would get a delicious steak. What he got was so charred on the outside that he could barely eat it. I ordered the redfish. I did not like the sauce that comes with it but luckily ordered it to the side. The blackened redfish was good once I put a little lemon juice on it. As we were paying, we told the server our issues with the meal. She apologized and offered to give us another steak to take with us. We declined because first we are traveling and don’t have a way to travel with perishable food and second we have no reason to believe another one would have been any better. On a side note, I would like to add that there were no issues with the service we received

1st time eating here, my wife had the steak, how can you tell steak is good? When you don't need to use steak sauce, and no need for it on the steak.
I had catfish and it was just as good as the steak.
The service was top notch.
We will most definitely be back.

Food was great but the service was horrible. Party of 7 & she left 1 order completely off. We asked 3 different servers for help & got nothing. We Finally got this meal 20 minutes after everyone was thru. Didn’t bring the child’s drink & forgot beers. Never offered to take items off the menu instead she just avoided our table completely. While we were waiting on our last person to eat we ordered dessert & another beer,
Desert took another 30 minutes & again we never got the beer. Sad part is we are all restaurant people (owned, served & bartended) & we would have gladly left her over a $100 tip but the fact that once she knew she messed up she kept avoiding us. This unfortunately reflected in her tip. This young lady has no business waiting tables.

We love this place! We live on the Cullman side of the lake and frequent quit often. We haven’t been since the new deck was added but this is our go to spot on the lake!

Had a visit on Saturday night! After being seated it took a while for someone to come to us, we didn’t mind because we had our drinks from the bar. When we got our food, it was AMAZING. I don’t eat much, but I had every bite. The cook knows what they are doing. I recommend the Red Fish, blackened! We can not wait to bring our family that are going to visit from out of state! 100/10
