Firehouse Subs Cullman

Freshest salad in town in regards of greens and meat. However, I’ve ordered the same salad five times in the past three weeks through the app. Four of the five have been incorrect. I hope service changes in which I can change my rating but until then, two stars

Firehouse sub in cullman has a very rude manager. We had 1 sandwich that was steak and cheese only and 1 that was suppose to be regular. They made both only mayo . No big deal. They made another 1 and yep it was mayo only. When I confronted the manager he argued with me about it and me standing there with the sandwich. He would not make it right. Very poor customer service

Greeted by a friendly cashier. Ordering was quick and accurate. Order was filled in timely manner. Food was warm, delicious and well presented. Overall a very good experience.

I like the Firehouse franchise. This was my first visit to the Cullman location and it was sub-par for the brand. Visited at 11:40 AM on Sunday 11/17/2024 and there were two couples sitting down eating and one gentleman ordering take-out. When it was my turn to order, the cashier made no eye contact and did not say a word. Just looked down at her screen. I figured that she was looking at something on her screen but after nearly a full minute of her not acknowledging me, I asked if she was waiting for me. She finally looked at me and said yes. I then ordered. When the screen asked for a tip amount, I chose zero since they are not making less than minimum wage (subject to tip-credit) and it is not a full-service restaurant. When I clicked on no-tip, it cancelled the transaction. She rang it up again and the same thing happened. Only when I finally chose a tip, did the order go through. This leads me to believe that a tip is required, which is absurd.
I then went to get a drink from the touch screen soda machine and found that all of the zero-sugar options other than Dr. Pepper and Root beer were out. I chose root beer and it dispensed soda water and coloring, but no flavoring. I then tried the Dr. Pepper and it was the same. I then tried Vitamin water and it was the same. When I said something about it to another staff member, they said that it should be working, which it was not. I imagine that the church crowd that was arriving as I left likely complained about the drink situation and hopefully they had more away with the staff than I did. I got some unsweetened tea, which was fine and then tried to find a clean table, which was difficult. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time and it was as-expected. The service here is not good and I doubt that I will return. In fairness, it is extremely hard to find good service at restaurants anywhere in Cullman and this is no exception.

We really like the taste of the Firehouse Sub sandwich. It has always been our favorite sub shop in Cullman and in our travels. My wife's favorite is the Hook and Ladder while mine is the Italian. The reason for my 3 rating is that the meat content on my sandwich is just a fraction of what it used to be. My feeling is if the cost of the ingredients has increased, please dont reduce what goes on the sandwich. lets just raise the price and give the people what they came in for. All of the other ingredients on the sandwich were fresh. We always get the medium combo, which is 2/3 of a foot long, and comes with your choice of chips and drinks, and of course, a pickle slice is always included. The store employees were polite and did a good job.
