The orchard does apple picking and has a small bakery and the apple pies are amazing. The ladies serving were super sweet and the apple cidar was really good.

This was disappointing. We drove an hour from Birmingham for a 10am tour and the lady didn’t start until 10:45am, which is an eternity when you’ve got 15 kids under the age of 6 bouncing off the walls waiting. She was just standing in the store chatting with friends and making us wait for seemingly no reason. Once she did finally start, she told stories that did not keep the children’s attention and did not seem to notice that they needed something more engaging. We left when they started the apple tasting because my 3 year old was bored to tears, so I’m not sure if our group actually got to pick any apples. All in all it may have been worth it if you’re local to the area, but it was a bust for us.

Best apples I've ever had! Several varieties and the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. Baked goods are also fantastic! So glad we found this hidden gem!

I've been here before and they have very good apple pies. Didn't give it a 5 star because once I drove there, around 55 miles, there's a note on the door that had open Saturdays only. Their website has that they're open until 5 today.

Apple picking is considered is one of most fun activities. July & August is the best time for Apple picking. But we went to Steele orchard almost at the end of the season. However, they gave us the permission to roam around.

The fried pies are delicious. Can’t be beat. I always stop by if Mrs Steel is open when traveling through. I will get a couple of dozen to carry home if she has them.

Great little orchard and gift shop! Good price on apples and she made a few fried apple pies while I waited. I had some of her homemade apple pie ice cream while I waited. Yum!
