Great staff and delicious flatbread pizzas! We ordered two flatbread pizzas to share (the spicy pepperoni and the white sausage) and loved them both. We will be back!

Versatile menu with something for everyone. Great staff. Ask about the specials! Prob my favorite place.
I'll start with the good things, the Sweat Tea Brined Pork Chop I ordered was great! It was a big portion size and one of the thickest pork chops I've ever had. The restaurant is nice and that's where the good stops. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. We got our drinks right away but 35 minutes later we finally got the Pimento dip we ordered. Half the chips were stale and the bread did not seem fresh at all. Another 10 minutes go by and I get the salad I ordered, and then an hour later we receive our entries. My Pork chop was very good, my girlfriend's
alfredo was not. Extremely bland, it was as if they just forgot any seasoning. I asked her if she wanted a box to go and she said it's not even worth taking home. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because my pork chop was good and they comped our meal because of the wait. The kitchen is basically open to see from the dining area and the kitchen appeared to be in chaos the entire time we were there.

Stopped by for lunch on a Friday and found this place well run and organized. It is small but the chef was hard at work visible thru the window if you sit at the bar. Our bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable and mixes a delicious old fashion.
The service was quick and food presented well and tasted great. We had the seared salmon and chicken fried chicken. Both were cook perfectly.
Fully recommend visiting. I’ll definitely be going back.

Every time I try to eat at this place, they are closed. Online it says it's open. I drive to the place and there is a handwritten note on the door saying closed 2 to 4. A different time my family and I get to the restaurant and walk in and then they tell us they are closed for a private event. We will not try it again.
I can not speak on how their food taste. I haven't tried it.
I stopped by the National with some friends after they recommended it for brunch. I'm so torn writing this review. I find myself complimenting many aspects but having to give the whole truth takes away from the greatness of this hidden gem.
The atmosphere, seating and staff were all great but they did have a fly problem in the restaurant. They did go away after a while but it took away from the aura and experience. The staff checked up on us multiple times throughout our meal to refill water etc. which was welcomed!
The food was very good! We tried the 8oz. bar steak and eggs, chicken and french toast, and the Nashville chicken. All the plates were cleaned which is good but I do have doubts about the 8 oz steak. Of course there's no way to vibe check the restaurant on the weights, it just seemed a little smaller than 8 oz steaks at other restaurants. Like I said, it's so hard to write this review as I find myself complimenting the restaurant but also taking away from the compliment to give the whole truth.
From reading other reviews it seems like two big complaints are the staff's attitude and taste of the food/ incorrect orders. I am quite happy that we did not encounter either of these issues during our visit!
All in all, I would def come back to The National, I would like to try some of the other food they have!!

Food was really good the last time I was there. Time before it was a miss. But before that it was good. Consistency in the kitchen is whats needed. Bar staff is great and a credit to the establishment. They have a really good brunch.
