Oversalted all 3 of my items. I know it's a bar too and this helps to sell drinks. It was just too much to be enjoyable.

I had the hamburger best I have ever had in a restaurant. My husband had the duck and loved it. Oh and the bang bang shrimp was delicious!

Greta and I were on our way to our favorite restaurant in Cullman, 412 Public House (who never disappoints) but they had a long wait so we went to National. The food was very good, the waiter perfect, the music superb, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and CCR but the hostess stole the show. She had perfect customer service, she was friendly and someone I would hire if I needed a hostess. In fact I wish she were in Kenya, she would be perfect for my new Safari company.Parking: Numerous

My in laws live in Cullman and recommended this place. We were visiting and tried it out for lunch today. Food was good. Limited menu. I enjoyed the Nashville sweet and mild. My husband had the Cajun Club. We had the Dutchess Donut Bread Pudding for dessert. It was delicious. The service was a bit slow but our waiter did a good job. We got there around 1 and were seated right away. Right after we got there, it got crowded and packed out. The atmosphere was average for this type of establishment. We enjoyed it and will probably return at some point to try more menu items and some of their cocktails.

We came from out of town (I did grow up in Cullman wnd have family there) and had heard great things about this restaurant. When we arrived it was crowded, No worries. Having worked in customer service waiting is no big deal. Gave our phone number and told the hostess we would sit outside on their bench until a table was ready. We waited an hour. After the third table of folks (one of which was family members who came after we did and put their name on the waiting list after us) who came in after us were seated I walked in just to make sure they had our number correct. The entire front of the resurant is glass and we made eye contact with the hostess many times. We could clearly be seen sitting outside. A fourth couple comes in the door and was seated straight away. We waited another 10 minutes. By this time we realized that our business was obviously not welcome or needed. I walked in and said "You guys can take us off the wait list, we are going to go elsewhere" politely and with no attitude. I did expect at least an apology for forgetting about us sitting in the 50 degree weather outside for an hour. But instead I got an "Okay" with attitude from what was obviously their manager. We walked right down the road to Moes and had amazing customer service and food like we have many times before.I waited tables for many years though college and fully expect to wait at times. I also know that accidents do happen and folks get overlooked. But what we experienced tonight here has me believing that you have to be a recognized local to get seated here. We won't come back, there are many other great places in Cullman to go where you aren't ignored.

The owner, Micheal locash, goes on, I assume, drug fueled angry tirades against his employees and guests. He has zero people skills and has really ran, what could have been a successful resturant, into the garbage with his poor treatment of employees. Very rude, poor management skills, and an abusive attitude.

Tried the Salmon and Steak for dinner. Both were good. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. Brussel sprouts were great. The dessert was good, lava brownie. Be careful it's served hot. Not a lot of seating, we were able to get right in, but might be best to call ahead.
