We ate there once a week for years. Went today to order for the first time in 3 years and take back to Smith Lake Park. Got back to the park and part of our order was missing, the fries were cold and soggy and no seasoning or salt. The burger meat was cold and my chicken finger salad was like the chicken had been reheated, soggy but yet still cold. If I wanted frozen food reheated I would’ve done it and saved over $40. Really disappointed and wont spend our money there again for food or anything for that matter. Next time we will drive a little further to dg and cook ourselves but we wanted to support a small business.

Do not go to Whitlocks Cafe on County Rd 222. They are rip offs. Microwaved loaded bbq heated up shredded pork $13. This morning I got a $7 worth breakfast of 3 scrabble eggs, 2 slices bacon, small plain hashbrowns, with sweet tea and was charged $17. I will not eat there ever again since they rip off people. Whitlocks Cafe price gouge.

Me and family decided to stop by for a cheap bite to eat after the sweet tater festival. We stood in the middle of the restaurant for like 3-4 minutes, no one greeted us, or told us to have a seat or nothing so we finally asked and they told us to sit wherever. We sit down and order, our food come, our kids burger had cheese on it and he didn’t want it. He won’t eat cheese, crazy I know but it’s true. So instead of offering to fix our child’s burger, they offered me a knife to scrape the cheese off. So of course, our child being a child, will not eat his burger. My wife then requests that we get some ranch that we asked for when we order, the older skinny gray hair lady snapped back “well I have to go get it” really rude. So at this point I’m aggravated. My other son who just turned 4 won’t eat his food bc “it nasty” They gave a 4 year old dry and I mean BONE DRY chicken tenders. I bite into my burger. Horrible. Burnt. Bland. At this point I want to go, my wife tries to wave down 2 different workers who clearly just ignored her and kept walking. So I have to get up and demand to go boxes. She packs what’s edible up, I head to the front to pay, and please tell me why 2 kids plates (a burger and chicken tenders both with a side of great value crinkle cut fries) and 2 burger plates (1 again with clearly great value crinkle cut fries, the other with what was clearly store bought Arby’s fries) cost me $55. Not to mention the $5 tip we left for …bad service. How in the world. Absolutely livid. All the food was horrible. The atmosphere is terrible. And for a mom and pops shop, the prices are horrendous. You’re better off eating at McDonald’s, at least you can eat the food there.

We came in from out of state to visit with family and we stopped in here for some lunch. Best food so far in our 3 days here. The service was amazing and the lady's were extremely sweet. Not sure why there are so many crazy reviews about "attitude issues" but we enjoyed it very much! We will definitely return as long as they are open for business.

Will not go back! Walked in.. all 3 ladies just stared at us and didn’t say anything. Then when we got our food and was halfway through eating it my girlfriend found a long hair in her sandwich! Not worth $30! Plus the place is outdated and we both felt dirty being in there..

Everything was bad from the start, waitress told us there was a two hour wait, we got up to leave and the cook stopped us at the door and told us the waitress was lying, we come back inside, waitress proceeds to berate, insult and downgrade the whole table, insulting our intelligence, saying we should’ve went somewhere else to eat, among other things. Will not be back

We looked forward to eating here, but as soon as we sat down the waitress said it would be a 2 hour wait. We walked out and the cook told us that was not true and to come on back inside. We sat and waited and the waitress was pissy and when we ordered she kept letting out angry sighs and was irritated to even take our order, and when my sister asked for no tomato she said, “it comes with everything so” and yanked the menus from my finances hands. We got up and left and she told us that we had no common sense. The cook was super nice, but we would never go back as long as that waitress continues to work there, and they will lose business. We didn’t catch her name, but I wouldn’t even have asked.

First time visiting Whitlock Cafe and the food was delicious! They were very accommodating. We ordered a hamburger steak and a chili dog first thing in the morning and they fixed it with no negativity! The only reason I gave it a 4/5 is because you have to go next door into the gas station to pay with a card.

Great little country place! I just had pancakes and bacon but it was very reasonably priced, homemade, and I got great service! I’ll be back!

A great place to eat! The cheeseburger is fantastic, along with some curly fries. The staff are friendly and are kept busy. Breakfast is also a good choice with many options.

This will be the first and last visit to here more than likely. My family and I were looking for a 'hole-in-the-wall' place to eat after church and found this place via Google. With good reviews we gave it a shot. The website states "Serving BURGERS & HOSPITALITY". My daughter and I ordered cheeseburgers and they were decent-although overpriced imo to not include a side- but we were greeted with zero hospitality. Our waitress seemed angry to even see customers walk through the door and only served us because it was her job to do so. Granted she could've been having a bad day, but when serving the public is your chosen occupation, and you are the face of the business, you need to at least 'fake it till you make it' to keep repeat business. We even heard her conversation with the cook and she stated she "preferred her Saturday crowd to her Sunday crowd". Well, ok then. We won't be back any day of the week.
