I want to preface this with the cost to help others be better prepared. It's was about $17 a person. I wasn't really impressed. I had to wait just for straws, just to get a 3rd to go box (for 3 people) after waiting nearly 10 minutes for a chance to get the first 2 boxes. I was pretty shocked by the total too. The food was decent.

Terrible service. Cheese dip came out after the main entree, and the was having to ask twice for it. The fajitas combo for 2 with an extra order of shrimp contained a total of 8 shrimp, maybe 8 pieces of chicken and 4 of steak! Even goofed up the drink order as well. No thanks, will not be back.

We love the food here and most of the wait staff has been great but every time we have a waiter named Giby (spelling?) the service is horrible... He acts rude, like we are an inconvenience, we had to ask several times for items... We took some friends there and didn't say a word to them and as soon as he came over they said... He's got an attitude... Yup... We will go back because the food is good but we will ALWAY REQUEST - NO GIBY

First and foremost the service was GREAT The food on the other hand not so much I ordered the quesabirria plate for the ones that don’t know Birria is made with goat meat not beef the consomé that came with the plate was some kind of gravy not consomé my wife ordered the enchilada plate when she told the waiter she wanted them fajita he looked at her like if she was speaking in tongues the enchiladas were not good they tasted like if they were out of a can this place is far from Mexican food The REAL Don Carlos restaurant is in Houston Tx

We love Don Carlos! Portions are plentiful, and the food is great. We've never had to wait for a table, seating is immediate. Service is fast, friendly, and my drink is always full. Bottomless chips and salsa kept coming. Clean restrooms and kid friendly! Try the fajita quesadilla with steak or chicken - they're both great! And the atmosphere is fun - sports on TV, bright colors, and low music. Great for family dinners, large parties, and celebrations!
Kid-friendliness: Drinks with kids, fast service for my little man's order - it came out first, and ZERO complaints or dirty looks about the rice he spilled. Our server was great with our 4-year-old. 10/10 recommend with littles!
