First timers eating here. We are lovers of good and fresh seafood. We had the jubilee platter, grilled snapper, grits, and turnip greens as well as their Bloody Mary. Their fried claws and turnips were my personal favorite. It was so tasty and fresh! I wish I could have eaten more!
Had dinner here tonight. We ordered the boudin egg rolls, red beans & rice (with catfish), and the crab cake plate. Delicious food and I have to say.. the best red beans and rice in this area. Just wish it was served with conecuh instead of the sausage it comes with. Our server was great and very accommodating. Was in and out in less than an hour which was great since we had our 6 month old with us. Love this place!
Great food. Great staff. Saw a post earlier about a bad experience. Sorry for them, we go to Market by the Bay 3 or 4 times a week and the food and service is always good.
Parking is terrible. The gumbo needs seasoning. Hushpuppies need a new batter. It's too grainy & the queso is the wrong cheese for Hushpuppies plus it's blan.
At least the server was very pleasant and attentive ! Tasty greens as well, but... better try harder on the hush puppies please ! Ice tea was weak as ..........
Yep, and according to other reviews, the parking lot is tiny. But as a first timer, it was worth the navigation. The server was kind and knowledgeable about the favorites of MBTB patrons. We ordered the boudain rolls with a spicy jelly. Damn is all I can say, and that captures my sentiments quite accurately. The jelly or sauce was very good.
We selected the Jubilee Platter, and the portion size exceeded my expectations. It had oysters that were large and juicy, catfish, crab claws, and decent sized shrimp. Ordered grits and fried okra as the sides. The okra was very good, and the grits were decent, but it could have been a larger portion of the grits. Overall, a spot I will visit again. Good cold beer too.
Please use way less salt in your fried mix. Dried oysters fried shrimp. Everything fried is way too salty.
I had the catfish po boy and gumbo combo and it was plenty for me. Enjoyed it!
Large portions , just a bit pricey for what was being served.
First time I ever loved fried oysters. I prefer raw, but this was outstanding. Seafood was great, but for you culinary nerds, the real star was the turnip greens side. Outstanding dark yet subtle flavor not achieved with ham-fisted gimmicks like "liquid smoke." Gumbo also dark and subtle flavor. Wow! I was already eating regarding photo:

Gumbo use to be the best. Not anymore. They started making the Rhu instead of purchasing. It is nothing but water!!! Suggest they purchase the Rhu like was done in the past. New owners have screwed up the Gumbo. After 20 years I am not going back.
Always great seafood and service, and we love the peanut butter pie.
Great food great atmosphere. Very friendly staff
Great food. People are nice too.
The food and service were excellent. Had the trigger fish, gumbo, and shrimp. Jenny was our server.
