We were there about 1pm for crawfish. They advertise crawfish available 11a-7p, first come first serve. That is not the case. By 12:30 today they were out. No raincheck, just 'too bad, we're sorry'. I was told there are 'supply problems', not getting what they ordered, etc. That should have been addressed, rather than let go.

Rouses Market is a solid neighborhood grocery store with a strong Gulf Coast vibe and plenty of choices. Parked here for the Mardi Gras parade on the 6th of February 2026. Went inside and bought the absolute best soda, king cake soda, to celebrate the season. I got a six pack and shared it with others. Great experience except some of the workers seemed unwelcoming. However, the king cake soda and parade made up for it. 10/10 would come again very nice establishment not much more to say.

I always buy more than I had planned because they have such a good variety of groceries.
This Rouses offers fair prices, a decent variety, and kind staff. However, you often have to wade through aggressive folks doing fundraisers outside of the store. Just this evening my wife pulled into Rouses, saw several folks asking for donations outside of the store, and drove across the street to Aldi's. More often than not, we are aggressively hounded by organizations when we try to grocery shop at this location.
