For the size of the small menu here, you would absolutely expect some food items not to be canned. Jalapeños are canned. Mushrooms are canned. Bacon comes frozen and in bulk. Waffles are flimsy and soft although the flavor was great.

LOVE Waffle House! This was my first visit to the Daphne Waffle House directly off I-10 on 98. It was no different than any in my past though! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was light. As usual, that makes it seem like they had JUST put your order in when they are delivering your meal. I forget the nice lady's name who helped me, but her service was spot on! I even had a patron fall in love with my Cheesesteak Omelet and Scattered, Covered, Smothered, Chunked & Peppered Hashbrowns. Cain't go wrong with that one folks.

The service was great. Waffle was a bit soggy, but the grits were good!
Judging by the internet reputation of Waffle House I kind of expected to walk into a gladiatorial combat arena. This was however a perfectly nice breakfast. The staff were nice and attentive, the place was relatively clean, food came at a decent speed. Food all tasted good and seemed cooked properly. The cook effortlessly flipping eggs in the air like it’s nothing over at the grill was kinda fun to watch. Only gripe I have is that it was kinda loud, and I’m sure that’s mostly due to the fact it was packed when we walked in. Glad this was the spot I picked for breakfast.
