Arrive by waverunner and 'park up' on the adjacent beach, you can watch from plentiful outdoor seating to make sure that the tide does not catch you out. The owners and staff are friendly and expedient, food quality and quantity is great, my go to is the 1lb Royal Reds, also get yourselves a cool T shirt when at this restaurant. If you're thirsty for a frosty beverage then head upstairs to the seperate business , The Pelican Pub. Can't beat this combination. Closed Sundays and Thursdays at the moment. Love this restaurant. The food is awesome, the price is competitive and the service can't be beat! We enjoyed the fried fish and the blackened shrimp. A nice deck provided the perfect afternoon date. Excellent time once again!

Had red shrimp. They were very mushy like maybe not fresh. Total of 10 called a pound with the heads still on. Never again.

My wife and I ate at Dockside Seafood Restaurant about 4 years ago. At that time the food was delicious and the wait staff was polite, friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable. The setting was fantastic-right on the water. This is a good place to eat if you are on Dauphin Island.

Do yourself a favor and go to the known seafood carry out steamer company on the island- made the mistake of going here for lunch- head on shrimp and everything over priced including the $8.00 can of beer.

I expected more for the rating. Fish basket was bland, fries were unseasoned, place was a ghost town at lunch, should have guessed. Kids chicken tasted like fish, probably fried in the same old batter.

Stopped for lunch at Dockside. Wow, so good and amazing sized shrimp. I ordered the Steamed shrimp which came with 5 shrimp, potatoes and corn on the cob. Hubby ordered the fish basket with fries and hushpuppies. We finished off by sharing a piece of Key lime pie.

This is our first time visiting the island and this was the first place we visited. I’m currently pregnant and haven’t been able to eat a lot of food and I’ve been limited to what will stay down. We stopped here because of the great reviews. The menu isn’t very large, but everything is freshly caught. I had the mahi mahi (blackened) and it was the absolute best mahi I have had in a long time! It was so juicy and wasn’t dry at all! And they give you a lot of it. Normally when I order mahi, I get a tiny block of fish and they give you 3 blocks here, plus your side. The French fries were great as well. My parents had the chicken finger basket and the shrimp tacos which both received 5 stars. Chicken tenders were very flaky and had a great batter. The shrimp tacos were definitely fresh shrimp. The owner was super nice as well and so was the staff. There’s a small seating area on the inside, but there’s more on the outside under the porch so you can enjoy the breeze and water and not cook in the sun.
