Islanders Restaurant

We loved Islanders. I had bbq pork tacos and my husband had fried shrimp and we both enjoyed our food very much. Our waitress was very friendly and was on top of everything. We will definitely return on our next visit to Dauphin Island

Worst food and Service on the island. We’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt over several years. Always leave disappointed.

Kendall was very attentive to allergy restrictions and suggested and brought us great food. All of the staff were pleasant and working hard. The drinks from the bar were top notch. We were here on a Friday and were able to listen to some great music from an acoustic guitar and singer. I definitely recommend but highly suggest you make a reservation as several groups had to be turned away. Thank you Islanders for a wonderful evening.

Amazing food! Best on the island

Slow service, cold food, waited over an hour for our food that was way overpriced !Told the truth in Google review and the owner was rude in response.Read all reviews not good and MANY had the same terrible experience like ours. I wouldn't waste your money or time at this restaurant! Definitely not worth it!

2 tables that arrived 20+ minutes after us both got service after us. Just me and a small child. No drink 30+ minutes. Even after i asked if we had been forgotten it would still be “a few minutes” before Val could get to us…she never came. I’ve been coming here for 20+ years…it’s always been bad but never that bad like tonight.

Also had shrimp poboy and fries with water. Was all good.

We went for lunch during the week and nobody was there. We had quick service and promptly ordered Pelican Eggs- fried deviled eggs and drinks (their Beach Crack was fantastic!). Our main entrees were fish of the day, ahi tuna tacos (I didn’t think they would be so good but they were!), and a salad for my vegetarian daughter. I was able to substitute their seafood gumbo for my side with an up charge. We enjoyed it so much we’re going back tonight for dinner.

I would have given a higher review, but 4 out of 8 of us all got diarrhea immediately after eating here ? the food was good until that happened. The drinks seemed to have very little alcohol in them and everyone was disappointed. The service was decent and the ambiance was nice but again, diarrhea is kind of a moodkiller.

Menu had an amazing amount of choices. Food quality was better than expected. Place a little busy, food quality made up for it. Seafood sampler was done really well and had significant amount of fresh seafood.

For our first visit We had a nice experience for lunch, super friendly, attentive staff, fairly priced. 2 outdoor decks and inside seating as well.

So overall this was a nice place! The fact they allowed my dog out on the patio was the number one reason I came. The server was really sweet! The food was mid. Took an hour to get our food. Food was mediocre. My dog liked her chicken strips though and the onion rings were good. There was a group with really crazy wild kids and that was very annoying. Aside from that, it was a nice atmosphere and I would go back regardless of the food being mid.

Ate outdoors since we have a baby that gets a little crazy occasionally; glad we did! relaxing island feel, delicious food, perfectly fried and flavorful. By far the best place to eat on Dauphin Island that we have been to. Top shelf margaritas are pretty good too! We will be regulars whenever we are in town for sure.

I got the burger, thinking I was going to be lame. The patty was about 3/4" thick and cooked perfectly. Very good. The staff was very nice and attentive.

Not sure why this restaurant isn't a 4.5 or better. I've only been here in the off season. If others are worried about wait times, they shouldn't be vacationing on an island with limited access where there's only 3 restaurants. Just my $.02. I've flown in to the local airport and the staff will even come pick you up and take you back. Great little spot with good food and service.
