The food was great. The staff was very helpful and nice. Great selection today (chicken, fish, gumbo, or ravioli). Hidden gem of a place.
Excellent food. Check it out.
The food was gross the soda was watered down and everyone was saying how bad it was
Best food ive had in a while and portions were enough for two
We enjoyed our food and the friendly service.
Good food, great location.
My family spent the weekend on Dauphin Island, and my brother recommended for us to eat at the Sea Lab Cafe called May's Cafe. We had a great breakfast. Grits, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Homemade Biscuits, Gravy, French Toast, & Cut Fruit, + Juice, Coke Products, Coffee, Milk, & Chocolate Milk. Needless to say we were stuffed after this meal. Open to the public, it is a great out of the way place for breakfast. (Internet as well) They also serve lunch and sometimes dinner. Stop by and try it. Budget friendly also. Breakfast was $6 per person. Thanks May's for a great Breakfast!
Great place and the staff is very helpful
Maybe we came at a bad time...there were a lot of camp kids and mystery meat.
Best breakfast and food on the island. They don't try to be anything they aren't and they don't over change like every other restaurant on the island who serves overpriced mediocre quality food.
Restaurantji Recommends
Went to Mays for lunch after visiting the Estuarium and Fort Gaines. VERY nice employees and the food was delicious! We had several teenagers with us and there were plenty of options with the hot line and salad bar. It's beautiful and very clean on the inside. Definitely recommend it!
The food was good, and there was quite a lot of it per person, but the lady charging, there was quite a bit of variability on prices for everyone in our group. Myself and another adult paid together for 2 meals the same price as a ‘senior discount'ed meal in our group. Was odd.
Delicious food. Great people. Loved it.
Mays is a good place to have a meal while visiting the Fort or Sea Lab. Breakfast and Lunch are served daily. Dinner is served whenever their are students visiting for the day that extends into the evening hours.
Mays cafe made me a little scared when I walked in. It's some of the best caffeteria style food I have ever eaten. For lunch today they had stuffed flounder ......OMG it was good. Overall the quality of their food was excellent.
