The food here is pretty darn good for a little ole BBQ place in the middle of a really small town in Alabama. If you are in the area and looking for good BBQ with a hickory smoke flavor then stop in and get some. You won't be disappointed.

A Slab and More is one of the top BBQ restaurants in Alabama! I eat there weekly and the food is great! Everything is good no exaggerating. Ribs, burgers, leg quarters on Thursday is so good and affordable! Chelle and the staff are so professional! Drive to Demopolis you will not be disappointed!

With all the good reviews I was disappointed. The sides were good, slaw and potato salad great. Ribs were tough on outside like they had been in warmer too long. Had a hard crusty exterior which was like leather and not edible. I cannot believe this is the same place others raved about the ribs. Probably the worst ribs I’ve had anywhere.
The rib tips are awesome. The sauce is something tomatoey and isn't too sweet, not mesquite or very molassasey and I like it a lot.

The beans taste like they were straight out of the can and the three rib bones were dry and tasted warmed over.
If you're anywhere near West Alabama, this is the greatest restaurant if you're looking for ribs, coleslaw, and baked beans. Hands down....period. Plenty of parking.

Mac and cheese and potato salad were amazing. The meat was overcooked/ burnt. The service was extremely slow .
