My husband and I came in and stood at the host stand. The lady there appeared to be counting tickets, so we waited in silence. Time went by and she moved to another task still behind the stand. She barely looked at us. After about five or so minutes, she says we have to go over there and pointed. We said , “over where ?” . She went to continue what she was doing. I again asked where she was talking about. She then said something to the one of the waitress and said, “she will help you.” The waitress was grabbing menus for someone else and said she’d be with us in a minute as she rushed away. My husband and I then decided to leave and said we weren’t staying where we weren’t appreciated at all.

Where do I begin. My husband and I had the hibachi. We were seated right away and our order was taken quickly as well but the wait for the chef was like 20 minutes. I thought maybe they had only 1 chef cooking that night and we had to wait until he was done at the other table. But ours eventually showed up and by the end I was wishing we did just have to wait for the other chef. He only said a few single words and very quietly. He only did a couple tricks, the big fire, flipping the utensils, and the onion train which didn’t actually work. He flung rice and veggies everywhere, and dripped the dipping sauce all over as well. I got the steak and scallops. The steak was overcooked and the scallops were undercooked. The rice, cabbage, and veggies were good though. The chef at the next table kept telling our chef to say something, be entertaining. The hibachi is pricey and they charge extra for the fried rice but you do get a large portion. That other chef, Thomas, did apologize for how our night turned out and told us to give them a second chance and ask for him. He seemed to know that hibachi was for entertainment as well, we heard him during our meal and he seemed very funny and engaging with his table.

Took my Wife out for our date night. Heard a lot about Mikata. Our Chef sucked last night. No personality, he literally came out just started angrily cooking. He tried one volcano onion stack it fell apart, it was so bad the Chef behind him Thomas felt the need to apologize to our table and begged all of us to come back again and ask for him next time. My wife had steak and scallops and her scallops were undercooked. For $85 plus a $20 tip we left dissatisfied, still hungry, and it was a date night fail. Wasted $105 of hard earned money, would have been better off at Panda Express

Went for my daughter's birthday on 12/28/23. My first time going. The chef was great! The food was good except the vegetables weren't cooked all the way. Everyone's stomach started hurting within 30-40 minutes after eating and next day so we won't be back!
