Sweetly Southern Cakes & Confections

My wife wanted one of those big number cakes for her 30th birthday and Sweetly Southern did a fantastic job. The cake was both elegantly decorated and tasted great. You could tell they used fresh fruit as well for their toppings. Highly recommend.

I've ordered numerous cakes and other treats from Sweetly Southern in the last year or two. The staff is top notch and the food is incredible. I'm an excellent baker myself but can't hold a candle to Sweetly Southern. The cakes are exactly the way my sweet, southern grandmother used to make. Everything I've purchased truly tastes homemade and receives rave reviews from family, friends, and guests. Who could ask for anything more? I had to edit my post to include this one last comment. My mother passed in October of 2024. She loved my chicken salad, but I knew she liked what I purchased from Sweetly Southern even better. A few days before she passed, she looked at me and said, I know I need to eat something, but I just don't want anything. I smiled and told her I had some chicken salad from Sweetly Southern. She got a big grin and said, "That just might do the trick." She was down to 70 pounds, and we knew her time was short. I fixed her a chicken salad sandwich using what I had recently purchased from Sweetly Southern. She could only eat three small bites before handing me to plate. She smiled and said, "I wish I could eat me. It's so good." She only spoke a few more sentences that day before going into a deep sleep. She passed three days later. It made me smile knowing that the last thing she ate was something she enjoyed. Every time I server her chicken salad from Sweetly Southern, she would say, "This tastes just like my mother's." Now THAT'S a memory which makes me smile.

Everything I have tried here has been delicious. They have the best petit fours I have ever had. The staff is friendly and helpful.

This is a gem off Brannon Stand Road for your morning breakfast bakes & sweet confections for your afternoon coffee. They also offer chicken salad & sausage biscuits sometimes. My wife & I enjoy stopping here when we are in Dothan!

Thanks to the owner and her staff for making my husband cake especially with it being kind of last minute.The owner is very professional, friendly,and puts lots of love in her baking,so moist.The cake she made for us was a caramel cake and boy was it delicious,my husband and daughter loved it,and we have some to share with the rest of the family.I highly recommend this company,and if your ever in the area please stop by and get one of her tasty treats,no disappointment on any of them.The coconut cake is so good.Thank you so much,I will be ordering my cakes and or other sweets from here from now on.

My mom wanted a 12 layer chocolate cake from Sweetly Southern (and only from there, because it’s her favorite) for her 80th birthday, and they made it with only a few days notice! Of course, it was amazing and I cannot thank you enough for making her 80th birthday special! I also picked up a slice of your coconut cake and it is hands down THE BEST I have EVER had! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow!!! I purchased a cake for my husband’s birthday and it was amazing. We normally do it for tradition but everyone, even some who don’t normally eat cake, also couldn’t believe how great this cake tasted. Thank you Sweetly Southern for such great service and making a great cake. Please give this place a try.

My family and I tried their coconut cake and a cinnamon roll. They were so good! It was life altering. We can now see sounds and hear colors. Five stars definitely recommend.

The cake that you made for my mother’s 90th birthday party was amazing! Your decoration was exquisite and everyone raved about how delicious the cake was! Thank you for everything you did to make her birthday party extra special! Your cheese straws are divine and were a big hit! Also, the cupcakes (key lime and Oreo) for her bowling party were loved by all lucky enough to enjoy one!!!

This is a wonderful gem in Dothan. The baked goods are fresh, flavorful and unique. The chicken salad is amazing! My husband loves the strawberry cake or cupcakes as a special treat!
