Had a late lunch / early supper today around 4. The cashier and the waitress were wonderful. The food was the best I've ever had in a restaurant and I eat "country cooking" a few times a week from Destin to Tallahassee to Dothan to Albany and this was hands down the best.
The food is always great. There is a large variety on the menu. Daily specials are wonderful, but get there early because it will sell out fast. The only item I wouldn't recommend is the grits. Grits are thick undercooked. What few time I've ordered them over a long length of visits, always the same.
Good stop for meat and two plates. I had chicken livers, cabbage and lima beans. Chicken livers were perfectly cooked and very tender. My husband had country fried steak, fried corn and okra. All good was well seasoned. Service was good. Sweet tea was excellent!
