The food is amazing. The people are knowledgeable and friendly.

Four adults enjoyed excellent dinners served with smiles and efficiency by Lucy. Owner checked in to see how we liked meals. We had catfish, shrimp and BBQ shrimp dinners. All excellent and the onion rings were superb. Amazingly, we were actually able to carry on conversations without people shouting around us; a welcome change from 3 other local venues visited lately. Do give this new spot a try. We’ve heard the Sunday brunches are great as well!
PS this is not a grocery…just a restaurant worth stopping at!!

We really enjoy the food here, and we like the Sunday buffet. We’re big fans. But I have to say that we were shocked when we were charged $13 for the kid’s buffet. We brought a two year old toddler who ate a shrimp, a few tiny bites of veg and a blueberry. I see that the price is for ages “10 & under,” but there is no way that a two year old can eat even a reasonable fraction of what a 10 year old can eat much less even a 5 year old.

My father got the check and only told me in the car in the way home.

The brunch was phenomenal! Waffles with butter honey. OMG! Everything we had was delicious. It's my new favorite place. We will be going back regularly.

Hubby and I went to Delta Grocery for lunch last week. We both ordered the half dozen shrimp (fried), black-eyed peas and house salad for sides. We requested Come Back sauce and Cocktail sauce, both delicious. Salad was very fresh and the (buttermilk ranch) dressing is made on premise, as are all sauces/dressings we were informed. We also shared the blueberry bread pudding for dessert - wow. Our waiter Addison couldn't have been more helpful, professional and explained all that Delta Grocery has to offer. There are so many great restaurants in this area, it is hard to visit them all, much less finding one you visit regularly, but we will be back for happy hour and other meals as this may become one of our favorite spots. I would highly recommend this place for a delicious home made meal and relaxing atmosphere. The employees really care about the restaurant and it shows. Give it a try.

Just a fantastic buffet on Sunday afternoon. All of the food was incredible! The service was perfect! And they kept the food full for you…and the desert was out of this world! Time for a nap!

Ok folks - Those who like Delta Grocery need to try their Sunday brunch buffet. Incredible cooking - I like it even better than the spread at the Grand Hotel. Fried chicken, Prime Rib, Shrimp and Grits, Squash Casserole, Green Bean casserole, white choocolate bread pudding, and more that I just don't remember. What was disappointing last week was that there were very few people there - and if that continues I can't see how he can afford to keep it going - so grab a bunch of friends and GO!

We love Delta Grocery! We've been three times and love everything we've eaten. My kids enjoy the catfish. My husband is happy he can get blackened shrimp that is prepared correctly, and my new favorite is the chicken fried steak. It's nice to find a restaurant that batters the steak and isn't the frozen brick of breading you get at other restaurants. The servers are always friendly and attentive. We're making this one of our usual places!

My wife and I enjoyed the Sunday brunch for our 40th anniversary. Everything was delicious! The blueberry bread pudding is a taste of heaven on earth. Loved the chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, grits and the quiche. We will definitely return. This was the best brunch ever. And the servers were friendly and accommodating. What a great dining experience!

My wife and I were visiting the area and found this little place out in the country outside of Fairhope.
I just wanted some fresh fried shrimp and onion rings and my wife chose the BBQ shrimp.
Let me tell you the shrimp were great, both fried and BBQ. The batter on the shrimp and onion rings was light and crispy.
The BBQ sauce resembled roux for gumbo and was very flavourful.
Addison, our server, was most engaging and he made our visit an enjoyable one
But the best part was the amazing dessert.
Make sure to save room for the white chocolate blueberry bread pudding.
It was the best we have had in any restaurant ever. It really had a pudding consistency and the sauce was wonderful.
The Delta may not be on your list but you should add it. You will not be disappointed.
And ask for Addison. He will treat you right.

The food was just ok. We went once for lunch and the food we received was not very warm. The flavor of the food we ordered was just ok.

We went again for their brunch buffet and the food was nice and warm. Some of the items on the buffet were very good but the buffet didn't have a lot of options. It had maybe 7 dishes to choose from and salad and dessert. I'm used to a buffet having more choices.
