Great outdoor seating. Great service. Great sandwiches. Nice place for lunch. Closes at 2:30. So go before then.
We had the turkey sandwich, roast beef sandwich, and muffuletta sandwich-which was by far the best of the 3 we ordered. Sandwiches a little small but all good.
Wanted to try it with such high reviews, was very good, sat outside on cold October Tuesday and had a great waitress
Great way to start day! Worth visit. Lattes were good service fast. Hubby had chicken sliders. I had bacon egg beignetts. We cleaned our plates and were ready for day! We sat inside but there was awesome courtyard with fountain as well. Good for family too. Great fairhope tradition downtown and walking distance of downtown hotels and airbnbs
After reading other reviews, we decided to check it out. Cute little place in downtown Fairhope. Sandwiches were great. We had Muffaleta and roast beef. Home-made chips on the side were a nice touch. Outside "indoor" seating is charming with a New Orleans feel but a little warm despite two wall AC units. Overall, it was a great lunch stop!
If you are visiting Fairhope, you must stop at Panini Pete’s! I had a great cheese burger. My husband had the panini (listed on the top 100 things you must eat in Alabama before you die). He had this on gluten free bread, as he is gluten intolerant. My oldest child had a kid’s hot turkey sandwich. My youngest child had a kid’s cheeseburger. We all had skinny fries. Each person raved about their meal, including the fries! We will definitely return!
Of course, based on DDD & GGG, I had to try this place when I was in Fairhope. Sometimes, featured places do not live up to the hype. This place did. The panini was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was very friendly. If the weather permits, sit outside in the gardenlike courtyard setting. Also, walk in from the Section Street side and be sure to say hello to Kitty who lives a spoiled life under a park bench halfway down the walkway.
I was dying to get their Muffaletta panini, so we stopped to get one to go before we checked out of our hotel. The ordering was a little weird. The waitress took our order, but we found out as we waited for awhile that they didn't start serving lunch until about 1/2 hour after we ordered. So we waited. That probably should have been mentioned. Saying that, we got the sandwich and it was delicious. Totally recommended.
Great fusion of Deep South classics dishes with eclectic ones presented in sandwiches and plates. Great environment in The French Quarter in Fairhope, AL. Service is quick and very friendly. The patio area is nice.
Excellent food! Charming space. Would definitely recommend! Tasty fries. Panini’s were great! Servers were friendly and right on it!

Breakfast at Panini Pete’s. The beignets are up there with the best you can get in New Orleans. The lemon wedge served with them pushes them over the top. And, you can get a breakfast sandwich served on a pressed beignet. I had the breakfast slider - bacon, egg and cheese on a pressed beignet sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled with syrup. There is nothing better! And if you’re lucky, you’ll be served by Tawny, who is about the nicest person and best server you could ever have. Don’t expect fancy linen or china; it’s very casual and reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of food you’ll get.
The food was great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it was the perfect location for an afternoon meal. We had the beer cheese burger, a muffuletta and finished it off with beignets. We would definitely eat there again.
We expected something amazing since they were on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives but the food was just okay
We ordered food "to go" from the restaurant's take out window. We saw the kitchen bring out the bag of food, the gal checked it and walked away. 10 minutes later, she checked it again and then gave it to us. The fries were so cold, we ended up throwing them out. The pannini sandwiches were very good, and might have been excellent if still warm. Muffeletta was full of meat and tasty olive topping on griddled bread. Roast beef had good flavor, but had to spit out several grisly fat hunks. Despite the issues, I woulld still give them a other try, maybe dine in.
Had the Panni Muffuletta, was very good, almost thought that I was back in New Orleans, sat in the cute patio area, was pleasant weather outside, service and food Great
