Best shrimp and grits I have ever had
My house salad with grilled chicken was very good.

10/10 experience! We loved everything — the bruschetta, lamb burger, mushroom pasta, key lime pie, and cocktails were all fantastic. The outdoor seating was perfect, and our amazing server Savannah truly made the night special. Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience! 🌟🍸🍝
I had the loaded fries and shrimp and grits and the taste was delicious, you can tell the chefs are professionals with a passion for their work. Stellar food. As for the atmosphere I would recommend for the restaurant to try and balance the chairs and tables outside as the wobble on our table on both table and chairs was uniquely noticable to say the least. Overall had a great time and will be returning in the near future to try more dishes

Hubs and I popped in to Local's for lunch during our visit to Fairhope from Pensacola Beach. What a neat little place! Local art adorned the walls, and they had plenty of outdoor seating for people with dogs. We sat inside since it was chilly. The menu spanned a decent variety of pasta, flat breads, fish, and burgers. I almost caved and got the pasta, but I went with a burger. They have several customization options for flavors. I got mushrooms, bleu cheese, and garlic, and hubs got the bacon and pineapple combo. He got fries for his side and I got a salad. All of it was delicious. We shared the salad and fries, pleasantly surprised that the salad was more substantial than just lettuce and a few shreds of carrots. It even had radish. Yum! The bleu cheese dressing? Excellent. Neither of us got buns on our burgers (gluten sensitivity for me), and it was still enough food for us both. If I knew how good the fries were, I would have skipped the salad—though I loved the salad, too. In this case, ignorance worked in favor of my health, hah. If we return to Fairhope, I would love to come here again and try that pasta.

Atmosphere and service are great, but the food is mediocre and over priced. I would go back for the atmosphere and drinks.

Locals in Fairhope is one of those rare spots that truly feels like the heartbeat of a small town. Tucked right into the charm of downtown Fairhope, this restaurant delivers a warm, relaxed atmosphere that instantly makes you feel welcome, whether you’re stopping in for a casual lunch or a laid-back dinner. The space has a clean, coastal-southern vibe—bright, inviting, and never pretentious—just the kind of place you want to unwind after a long day.

I have been a regular for years. I used to come in with my husband once a month to have a nice dinner, but came back for the first time in a while. The food isn’t as good as I remember, and I feel like it has lost some of its flavor. My pasta just wasn’t the same. I also wasn’t able to order any cocktails during a late lunch! I was told the restaurant was in transition, but I reached out to a few server friends and discovered that they lost their liquor license for not following proper purchasing laws! I don’t know what has happened to the Local’s I know and love. While my server, Hannah, was wonderful, I feel that the owner needs to spend some serious time setting her business straight, and getting back to the delicious recipes that local’s used to serve!

Noisy when busy. This visit had no cocktails since they were changing LLC ownership. Overall still a very good place.

Atmosphere was excellent and so was the service but some kind of paperwork issue they said so they couldn’t serve wine or alcohol. My dish was the mushroom pasta, that was excellent, my wife got the Cacio de Pepe, which was basically buttered spaghetti with no pepper, it’s a simple but classic dish, but wasn’t anything close to what it should be. Bread was very stale

We ordered takeout with door dash. The bill was around $150.+. Our Caprese salad was ridiculously tiny for $19. Our whipped ricotta was crazy tiny for $16 + about a spoonful. The focaccia was hard and dense. Had to bite with the side of my mouth and tear it. I ordered the tomato and cucumber salad $7 , about a half cup full, but tasty. My chicken parm had hard overcooked edges on the chicken. Good sauce though. The other pasta dish was dry but tasted ok. We are here vacationing and can't believe what this turned out like. A horror. You can see in the picture how ridiculous the 2 slices of tomato and mozzarella look. When opened. This picture was before a bite was taken!!! Oh well. Live and learn. Never again.
