Not bad food, but they were out of a number of items on a slow day. Not terribly priced but not great value either. Just not impressed overall. No real reason to keep away but no motivation to go back either.
We ordered 2 shrimp dinners tonight for an easy supper. A great decision. (The shrimp are large, no small ones, fried perfectly, and they were delicious. By the way, I am very picky. The hush puppies were good, not out of this world, but very good. I wish they were a little bit "lighter" in texture but, again, they were good. I liked the Ken's tartar sauce and cocktail sauce.
Delicious but think the portion size was a bit small. Got the fried pickles appetizer and a bowl of gumbo (comes with rice) to go. Maybe put the rice in a different container and then fill the gumbo one all the way up? Anyways could just think this because it was absolutely scrumptious and I wanted more.
