Visited Panini Pete’s on the Bienville Bites food tour. We had the famous turkey panini and the Mardi Gras dessert made just for the food tour. Delicious. We went back for lunch the next day. Great location in downtown Mobile.

Slowest place I've ever been. First we waited 15 mins for a greeter to acknowledge us. We read so many good things about the beignets. We ordered two servings, and after an hour of waiting, we never did get any. We had a beignet sandwich, which took that hour, too, which was just okay. I'm not sure why we could get the beignet sandwich, but not the beignets...so weird. Any hoo. It was a waste of our time.

The beignets are amazing, plain and simple with powdered sugar and lemon wedges!!! Unbeatable!!! The food was very good as well, and the service was welcoming and prompt.

We popped into Panini Pete's on our way out of town just for beignets, and it ended up being such a cozy little moment. It was a cold, rainy morning, and the cafe au lait was absolutely amazing- warm, rich, and exactly what we needed. The place is full of charm, right down to Marbles the cat, who greeted us as we came down the sidewalk (instant smiles.) The beignets were fantastic, light and perfectly powdered. Pro tip: squeeze the lemon slices they provide over the beignets- total next level upgrade. A memorable, feel good stop. We will definitely repeat.
