We recently went for dinner for our anniversary and had the chef’s tasting menu. We’ve been a couple of times before and everything was great, but the menu had now changed to full on Italian. This was a great surprise because I LOVE Italian food, and you can tell this was authentic and fresh, not just your typical tons of pasta and marinara/alfredo sauce. Plane & Level Coastal offers an exceptional dining experience with delicious food, drinks, and desserts. The atmosphere is coastal cool, with outstanding service from professional staff. Recommended dishes include char grilled oysters, Solomillo, Costilla Al vino Jerez braised short rib, Coles de bruselas, beef carpaccio, veal chop, blue crab ravioli, octopus, tuna, and wagyu. Desserts like tres leches, flan, gelato, and the espresso martini are also exquisite, and the bread service is life-changing. The wine list features mostly Spanish wines. This restaurant is exactly what Baldwin County needed: a world-class culinary experience right in our backyard. Chef Orlando is one of the most talented and passionate chefs. His creativity and attention to detail come through in every dish. The staff were attentive and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The artichoke hearts, the gnocchi with mushrooms, and the tiramisu were outstanding. Each dish was memorable and beautifully prepared. This is a new favorite choice for fine dining.
