Nice atomosphere and good food. Staff was very friendly and attentive with good smile. I highly recommend to go if you are in the area.
Lovely lunch-their spinach salad is delicious (I had it with shrimp) and my husband had downtown oysters. Good place-nice looking and good food.
Guitar player was great Ambiance was fantastic quiet music great service Food was fantastic Redfish was perfect one of the best fish dishes I've ever had Shrimp and grits was likewise fantastic with succulent shrimp and grilled grits Beef dish was great Really enjoyable night
Always Excellent. The Mussels are the best I have ever had. The wine cream sauce pairs perfectly with their homemade bread. Misty is a top chef. Fairhope is fortunate to have her expertise.
Once we were seated it took 30 minutes to get our drink order. During this time we were never asked if we wanted appetizers. I had to get up and go ask the server to order appetizers. They came quickly after we ordered. We then ordered a second round of drinks that never came. We finished appetizers and the server never came back. I then had to get back up and go ask the server if we could order entrees. The server never told us the specials or anything. It was the worst service I have ever experienced. At the end of the meal the owner did come and try to make it right by offering complimentary drinks and desserts, but by that time we had been there for 2.5 hours and the kids were melting down and it was just too little too late. Side note- The building is definitely run down and an eye sore. White table cloths would have helped.
Delicious as always. French onion soup and shrimp and slaw for the wife. Gumbo and redfish meunière for me!!!
The downtown oysters were amazing! So much so that I purchased a bottle of the red sauce that was part of the dish.
The food was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed it very much. The chef was kind and attentive, and the service was great.
This is an adorable place just outside downtown Fairhope, Alabama. It's a cute place with live music and yes, lots of couples were getting up to dance, so fun. Due to the Arts and Crafts Festival, the place was jammed which clearly presented a challenge for the servers and the kitchen. We had a bit of an ordering snafu, but the owner Misty apologized multiple times, spent time visiting with us, and truly went out of her way to make everything right. She reframed the whole evening for us, turning it into a winning experience. With an owner who cares like that, we will be sure to go back on our next trip down south.
This was our first time at R Bistro and we were very impressed. The new location is super cool and food was delicious. Our waiter was the perfect amount of not bothering us too much and making sure we had what we needed. My wife and I both got the Salmon with carrots and vegetables and wow it was so good! Also make sure to ask for bread, it’s delicious!

We'll start with the food the French onion soup was delicious other than the croutons they put in there we're cooked with old grease the flavor of the actual soup was awesome but had to take those croutons out because it was just destroying the flavor of the soup the cheese wasn't cooked enough on the top and did not have any brown to it so it wasn't a traditional type of cheese on the top of this French soup when I got to my main course I sent it back the meat tasted spoiled took one bite and had to spit it out my wife's meal wasn't any better I was really hoping for a really good Bistro the best part of the place was the actual server was awesome all the way up to the point where the owner came out and actually screamed at her because the bartender left for his break has she blamed it on the server that there was only one person on the floor apparently she forgot she's the owner I hope it was an off day because if it wasn't they won't be here long if you're in the area try the place but I can't recommend it

I’m from out of state. But visit Fairhope regularly to see my mother. We have dined here a few times and it has always been outstanding. Tonight’s dinner was oh so good. Our wait person was professional and knowledgeable. We were in very good hands. But the food was terrific. My spinach salad was flavorful beyond expectations. And the Beef Stroganoff… well… I just devoured it. Ha. Their carrot cake was exceptional. The four of us had a very relaxing easy time. Thanks R Bistro!
Wow, Everything is made in house. From the incredible bread to the pimento cheese. Great meal. Excellent wine list. Entre was fresh grilled Redfish. Service was top notch. Highly recommend. One of Fairhope's best restaurants.
From the beginning I was greeted warmly at the door by Taylor, she's charming and professional as well as friendly. Charlton is an excellent bartender and server, I try to always sit there. Misty also comes by every time I'm there to be sure I'm happy! The Martini and the wine were great, the seafood dish I had was excellent! I'll be going back again soon. I highly recommend this place! ??
The food is good from what I've heard. Live music is extremely loud and the reason I only give it 4 stars. Not my cup of tea. I've never actually eaten here. My friend likes their oysters.
