Great coffee!!
The Long Black is an excellent choice - my wife added a little Lavender to her cup for a uniquely delicious treat.

Refuge coffee is my number 1 go to coffee shop! They have the best coffee in town in my opinion especially because they roast right in house! 10/10 ☕️

Y'all open later than any other of the local coffee shops and I believe it is hurting your business. There are a lot of people who work and like to pick up coffee and lattes before they go to work I believe y'all used to open earlier but now you do not open until 7:00 All of refugees Google information show them open today, specifically sharing the shortened times because it is New Year's day. We drove to both locations in Fairhope and both were closed. Very disappointed because we live in the Robertsdale area. They do need to make sure and update their Google information. We generally really enjoy their lavender latte and coffee.

I’m here at 831 am on Saturday. It’s closed. Sadly

Great coffee shop with a relaxing vibe. My cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Their merch was nice as well, but I didn’t end up purchasing any. This would be a regular place if I lived close by.

An excellent shop. The best around. They take their time to make an authentic cup of coffee. The staff is friendly and passionate about their craft. Pick up a bag of beans from the in-house roaster!

Great little place to get Swiss Water decaf coffee. A little hard to spot from road while driving. Service was great and the coffee is wonderful.

You’ll find fast, friendly, expert baristas at both locations. The defender espresso roast is phenomenal but I also enjoy their drip coffees.

Stopped in for a cup of coffee, not a good morning, can I help you, nothing. Ignored so I left after waiting for 3-4 min or so. No one in line and two workers there.

Stopped by today after having a procedure done at Thomas and had a delicious iced vanilla oat milk latte 😋 Lovely atmosphere and very kind barista. Will be back again ☕

Finally, a coffee shop that pays attention to the water used. Expensive filters help to make coffee at Refuge the safest and possibly the tastiest in Fairhope.

Fairhope water is less than outstanding, thanks to "mystery powder" from China, which arrives with a "toxic waste" skull symbol on every bag. This powder is summarily dumped into the municipal water. Nothing is tested except the fluoride levels (from chemical waste, not pharma grade fluoride by the way).

It's so heartening to see that a town like Fairhope trusts the health of its citizens to a nation across the sea with a president who brags that his people "believe they are descended from 'The Dragon'." If you don't believe that, then go to Youtube and search for "trump xi dragon." The video will come right up.

Anyway, the owner of Refuge is a published author. He's also well traveled and knows how to source really high quality beans from small farms in central America, which are roasted in-house. Kudos! It's so great to find beans that are not "Arabica," like nearly everyplace else.

Had coffee with a friend. Service was great and atmosphere was good for chatting. Glad to have two of theses in Fairhope. Hard to see from 98 though because of the big food truck in front of building.

The honey cinnamon latte was perfect! So perfect we stopped each morning of our trip for one. Coffee cake was delicious and so was the banana bread.
